The POST of the TVB and the IDC are independent of the status of the PC Host. But without Windows NT
operating or the PC Host POST the field service framework will not work.
NOTE
In the picture the +/- 15V on the front plate is not shown. To have a working system this power supply has to
be present (BHFLD-X2).
When it's necessary to disconnect the cable between the IDC and TVB the PC host has to be kept powered
on.

3.1.5. NO IMAGE
The fault finding tree below helps to locate the cause if no image is visible at the exam (and reference)
monitor.
Preconditions:
PC host and CPU are working and communication between SYSCO and IDS 19 is possible. If this is not the
case then go to no communications fault finding tree.
Also the Digital Imaging, the monitors and the link between the Digital Imaging and the monitors should be
working. If this is not the case refer to the Digital Imaging unit manual.

The fault finding tree below helps to locate the cause if a distorted image is visible at the exam (and
reference) monitor. A distorted image can typically be identified as an image with bad contrast and
brightness and an image with artifacts (e.g. defect pixels).
Preconditions: PC host and CPU are working and communication between SYSCO and IDS 19 is possible.
If this is not the case than go to no communications fault finding tree.
Also the Digital Imaging, the monitors and the link between the Digital Imaging and the monitors should be
working. If this is not the case refer to the Digital Imaging unit manual.

The fault finding tree below helps to locate the cause if there is a problem in the dose control loop.
With dose control loop also doserate control loop is meant.
Preconditions: PC host and CPU are working and communication between SYSCO and IDS 19 is possible.
If this is not the case than go to no communications fault finding tree.

3.4. INDICATORS
The following PCB’s contain LEDS
− TVB

3.5.1. POST
The following units have a POST:
− Camera head (XTV19)
The POST tests the camera head, the TVB and the cable between the camera head and the TVB.
− CAN
The CAN POST will test the CAN (PCB), the connection between the CAN board and the PC host (PCI
bus) and the connection between the CAN board and the RIO.

3.5.2. BIST
The following units have a BIST:
− PC Host (industrial computer)
− IDC board (PCB)
Doselink test:
The Dose link test will test the connection between the IDC and the X-ray generator.
Life image:
With the life image the path from the camera head, TVB and video link to the Digital Imaging is tested.
