Check-ups, scans and

tests during pregnancy


At each antenatal visit your healthcare providers will perform general
physical and obstetrics examination and they will provide you with
proper advice to aid safe and healthy pregnancy.

10 weeks
• Option for NIPT (Non-invasive prenatal test)
11- 13+6 weeks
• Nuchal translucency scan and double marker
First antenatal visit test (for Down’s Syndrome)
• Confirming pregnancy 15- 20 weeks
and due date • Triple marker or quadruple marker (if double
• Dating ultrasound marker not done)
(if dates not clear) • Tetanus toxide vaccine (1st Dose)
• Medical and family history 18-20 weeks
• Dietary advice and • Anomaly scan
pregnancy supplements 24-26 weeks
• Blood pressure, weight • Fluvac vaccine
and height
26-28weeks
• Antenatal screening blood
tests and urine test • Routine ANC check up
• Cervical screening (if needed) • Full blood count, ICT, Urine routine
• Glucose tolerance for diabetes OGCT-75
• Anti-D injection (may be given if Rh negative)
27- 32weeks
• Tdap vaccine
Investigations at booking visit:
• Check ups
• CBC, Haemoglobin estimation
34 - 36 weeks
• Urine routine, Blood grouping
• HIV,HbsAg,VDRL (HCV ) • Vaginal swab for Group B Strep
• Serum TSH, Random BSL • Anti-D injection (may be given if Rh negative)
• ICT, IgG antibodies, Hb • Assess baby’s position and engagement
electrophoresis (if required) 37- 39 weeks
• CBC, URM, RBSL, HIV
40 - 41 weeks
• Check ups
