    The NIDI Scheme initiated with a total outlay of Rs. 240 Cr. aims to promote, nurture
    and advance the culture of design and innovation in the country leading to significant
    contributions and breakthroughs impacting the quality of human life. Under this
    Scheme, 20 Design Innovation Centres (DIC) have been set up, details of which are

    The IKS Scheme with a total outlay of Rs. 50 Cr. is funding the setting up of IKS
    Centres in the country for the development of institutional capacity in the area of IKS
    amongst other projected outcomes. A part of the grants for IKS Centres is used for
    developing proper infrastructure for conducting IKS research, education and
    outreach while specializing in two to four focus areas. Under this Scheme, 13 IKS
    Centres have been established till date, details of which are below.
