II. RATIONALE

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 242, s. 2011 titled Declaring the Period from
September 5 to October 5 of Every Year as National Teachers' Month and Republic Act No.
10743 titled An Act Declaring the Fifth Day of October of Every Year as the National Teachers'
Day, this Office announces the celebration of the 2023 National Teachers' Month and National
Teachers' Day/World Teachers' Day.

The celebration aims to honor those who are in teaching position, acknowledges and give
emphasis on the crucial role, loyal service, and dedicated commitment of teachers in developing
globally-minded citizens, nurturing families, strengthening communities, and building the nation.
It revitalizes the image of and respect for teaching as a vocation by increasing public awareness
on the value of teachers in the Philippine society. This takes the occasion as an opportunity in
giving recognition for teachers and non-teaching personnel in their sincere commitment and
dedication in the Department of Education as an attractive and fulfilling profession, generates
widespread support and assistance for teachers and expresses gratitude for the positive
influences of teachers on the life of Filipino Learners.

III. OBJECTIVE/S

 To enhance resilience among teaching and non-teaching staff of Datu Andiam Manza
National High School Department of Education - General Santos City Division, by giving
recognition to the teaching and non-teaching personnel of their dedication and
commitment in the service through celebrating the Month-long World Teacher’s Day S.Y.
2023-2024.
