ORDER

No.SO(Pharmacy)01-01/2023 DTL’s, In pursuant to the provisions contained in The Punjab


Regularization of Service Act 2018 (Amended 2019) and on the recommendations of Punjab Public
Service Commission, the services of following Pharmacist (BS-17) recruited on contract basis
under the provisions of Contract Appointment Policy, 2004 are hereby regularized, with immediate
effect:

2. The above appointments are subject to the conditions that:-

i. They are citizens of Pakistan and are domiciled in the Punjab.


ii. They possess the qualification and experience as prescribed in the relevant service
rules of the post.
iii. They are not married to foreign nationals.
iv. Their services will be governed under the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974 and the
rules framed thereunder and instructions / orders issued by the Punjab Government
from time to time.
v. The above appointees upon their regular appointment will remain on probation in
terms of Section 5 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974 and Rule 7 of the Punjab
Civil Servants (Appointment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1974.
vi. Their period of service as contract employees will not be counted for any purpose
(Pension, gratuity, leave, etc). The salary component of such employees will be in
accordance with the pay scale plus the usual allowances prescribed for the post
against which they are now appointed. They will, however, not be entitled to payment
of 30% social security benefit in lieu of pension or any other pay package being
drawn by them.
vii. The pay of the employees as being appointed on regular basis shall be fixed at the
initial of the respective basic pay scale and the increments (s) already earned during
the period of contract appointment shall be converted into personal pay.
viii. The inter-se-seniority of all above appointees shall be maintained in the individual
cadres and order of merit as assigned by the Punjab Public Service Commission.
ix. On their appointment on regular basis, they are allowed to continue working at their
present place of posting mentioned against their names.

x. They will be liable to serve anywhere in Punjab, however, they will have to serve in
Drugs Testing Laboratories in Punjab as per the existing policies notified (as
amended from time to time) for the employees of Drugs Testing Laboratories in
Punjab.

3. If the appointment is acceptable to you on the above said terms & conditions, please convey
your acceptance / charge assumption reports to this department within 07 days of the issuance of
this order.
