5. Discuss the different planning tools and techniques.
• Gantt Charts
- assist teams in properly allocating resources and scheduling work around deadlines.
Gantt charts are another tool used by project managers to keep an overview of their
workload. They show, among other things, how dependent tasks, milestones, and
tasks with different start and end dates relate to one another.

• Pert-CPM Chart
- is a tool for project management that helps to plan, arrange, and coordinate the tasks
that make up a project. Project managers can analyze each individual work in the
project by using the graphical depiction of the project's timeline that is provided.

• Flow Process Charts


- is a diagram that displays the decision-making processes and sequential steps of a
process. Every step in the chart or visual representation is denoted by a shape. To
depict the movement and direction of the process, arrows and lines connect these
shapes.

• Cause & Effect Diagrams


- is a visual tool that suggests causal linkages between ideas by visually portraying
potential explanations for a particular problem or consequence in increasing detail.
Another name for a common form is a fishbone or Ishikawa diagram.

• The TOWS matrix


- is a theoretical foundation for a methodical investigation that makes
matching of external possibilities and risks with internal
shortcomings and organizational strengths.
