Good morning ladies and gentleman.

Before we begin our event, let us present our gratitude to Allah Swt. because of his blessings and
mercies so that we can attend this event in a great condition.

Shalawat and salam to praise our beloved prophet Muhammad saw who has guided us from the
darkness to the brightness, from the bad character to the good one as we hold today.

A very wise man once said “Give me 1,000 men, I’ll move the mountain. Give me 10 young
men, I’ll shake the world.” That man was our first president Mr. Soekarno.

With those words, he believes that the power of young people of Indonesia are able to surpass
anything. With our sharp wits, our ability to take risks, and our positive view of life.

And now as we gather here today, despite the current pandemic. We prove to everyone and to
ourselves that we are among those 10 young people. And we are ready to overcome anything and
shake the world.

Before we start the grand competition of this year, let us introduce ourselves. I am Aisha Cahaya
Kamila and my partner Resyalwa Azzahra Harahap will be your master of ceremony of this
event.

As our endeavor to ensure the success of this event, we would like to invite M. Arif Rahman to

invaders out of our homeland, so that we can have a country that we can call our own, Indonesia.

Next, as our tribute to one of the biggest ethnic groups in Medan, Melayu-deli and also as a
thank you for everyone who are present in this beautiful event. Let us show you Tari
Persembahan Melayu or “Tari Makan Sirih” perfomed by English Department Art club of
student council English and Literature Department. Enjoy

Elegance, grace, and Strength, those are the three words that best described the dance don’t you
think?

Absolutely, what a mesmeric performance from our English Department Art Club. Let’s give
them one more round of applause.

And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to invite the Chief of National English
Competition 10 committees, the captain of our ship/The ring master of our show/, The charming

We shall

National English Competition 10 is the competition that has been held for the last 10 years and
counting. this competition has been planned to give a big chances and opportunities for all the
golden generation in our country, Indonesia. These competitions are provided for junior high
school, senior high school varsity students and also public participant so that they could
(Channel/Develop/Conjure up/Convene) their competitive spirit and pouring it out and be the
winner from each field of competition.

In this year’s NEC we are deeply honored to be the host of more than one thousand youth and
intellectuals, competing from all over Indonesia. There are more than 300 institutions that spread
out across 6 provinces and 18 cities across our native land.

From Bandung, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Bali, Palembang and many more cities that we cannot
mention one by one, and the last but not least, from our beloved hometown, Medan city…etc etc.

From the bottom of our hearts, we say thank you for your willingness to participate in our
prestigious event.
