Homebush,NSW | The Perth Cougars continued their drive for top spot in the play
offs with a 27-13 win over the Parramatta Rams. The win is the Cougars 5th in a row
and keeps the pressure on the Townsville Marlins.

Perth were not at their best today but were let off the hook by the Parramatta Rams
who made even more mistakes. Tyrell Lohse threw two first half picks but the Rams
came away with just a solitary field goal from the turnovers, their only score of the
first half.

Perth again came out looking to play from the shotgun but this time Tyran Dickens
was ineffectual running the ball against the strong front seven of the Rams. This then
saw Lohse back under centre but he is definitely more uncomfortable when playing in
this position. Lohse did get better as the game wore on and in the end he completed
at 70% and threw for 299 yards with 2 touchdowns to add to his numbers. "I still
think we have a lot more to give" said Steve Ella. "We have been winning which is
