     He was given a Gold Award by the Department of Interior and Local Government during the 2nd
    National Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Award
     the United States Department of State picked Vico Sotto as one of 12 recipients of the
    International Anticorruption Champions Award for his efforts toward anti-corruption.
     Passage of the Pasig Transparency Mechanism Ordinance which made the city the first in the
    Metro Manila with its own localized freedom of information (FOI) bill.

    Victor Maria Regis Nubla Sotto, Popularly known as Vico sotto is the current mayor of pasig and
    youngest mayor in metro manila, he finished his studies in ateneo de manila university earning a
    degree in Political science and a masters degree in public management in the same school. His
    parents are vic sotto known as bossing from the show eat bulaga, and connie reyes an actress
    who is a seasoned veteran of the business. Vico sotto has a lot of notable relatives who served
    and who are currently serving public offices, these are Tito Sotto (Former Senate President).

    In a statement announcing the winners, the US State Department referred to Sotto as "a
    standard-bearer for a new generation of Philippine politicians who prioritize anticorruption and
    transparency initiatives in their election campaigns and in office." The US State Department also
    noted that Sotto, then a councilor, was successful in pushing for the freedom of information
    ordinance in Pasig that was passed in 2019. "Sotto has sought to establish himself as a new voice
    with a new, more open method of governance,"

    In his ordinance, All citizens are entitled to access, review, and copy public records, as well as to
    publish and distribute them, according to the ordinance. Additionally, it is not necessary for
    those who seek records to explain why they are doing so or even why they are interested in the
    records.

    For us to understand vico sotto, we must first know we he ran for mayor in pasig? The following
    video clip will answer the question.
    So basically, vico saw the Eusebio dynasty as the reason why pasig is not developing enough, the
    constant corruption paired with the padrino system hindered development of some areas of
    pasig.

    So we chose nurture because of his educational background, he has a degree in political science
    and a masters in public administration, coupled with his school ateneo, which has produced
    many politicians, basically making an environment suited for shaping future public servants, his
    parents did not have much of an impact in his choice of becoming a politician, as both of them
    are entertainers in show business which shows no reason why vico chose politics over being an
    artist.
