The teacher will show some examples of sentences. Students will be called
individually as the teacher calls them to read the given sentence written on the strips
of paper. The objective of the task is to read the sentence properly/correctly.

direction. It also ends with a period or exclamation mark.
 Which one here is an imperative sentence?
 What makes it an imperative sentence?
 The sentence also ends with a period but that doesn’t mean it is a declarative
sentence. Can somebody explain why?
 Give me an example of an imperative sentence that expresses a request and
gives a command.

Definition: An interrogative sentence asks a question and ends with a question mark
 Which one is an interrogative sentence?
 How do you say so?
 Can you give me an example of interrogative sentence?

Definition: An exclamatory sentence conveys emotion and ends with an exclamation


mark.
 The last sentence that we have is an example of an exclamatory sentence
simply because it expresses strong feeling or emotion and ends with an
exclamation mark.
 Can somebody give me another example?

Thus, from the nursery song we have sung a while ago, what kinds of sentences are
present in the song?
Can you sing the lyrics and tell its kind?

PIC-A SENTENCE
Since the learners have already understand the lesson, the teacher will present a short
activity. The teacher will use the same group. Each group will be given a picture. They
have to make different types of sentences out of the pictures. One example for every
type of sentence. They will be given three minutes to finish the activity and present
their works afterwards.
