Germany, officially the Federal Republic of


Germany, is a country in Central Europe. It is
the second-most populous country in Europe
after Russia, and the most populous member
state of the European Union. Germany is
situated between the Baltic and North seas to
the north, and the Alps to the south. Its 16
constituent states are bordered by Denmark to
the north, Poland and the Czech Republic to
the east, Austria and Switzerland to the south,
and France, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the
Netherlands to the west. The nation's capital
and most populous city is Berlin and its main
financial centre is Frankfurt; the largest urban
area is the Ruhr.

In 1957, Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the


Netherlands, and West Germany signed the Treaty of
Rome, which created the European Economic
Community (EEC) and established a customs union.The
European Union (EU) is a supranational political and
economic union of 27 member states that are located
primarily in Europe. The union has a total area of
4,233,255 km2 and an estimated total population of
nearly 447 million.

beginning but was still defeated
Germany also won several important
wars Otto von Bismarck. In 1864
Prussia waged a war against Denmark
and won. In 1866, Prussia, allied with
Italy, started the war against Austria.

In Germany there were famous people
like Otto von Bismarck,Wilhelm the
second ,Peter von Cornelius but the most
famous is Albert Einstein was a German-
born theoretical physicist, widely
acknowledged to be one of the greatest
and most influential physicists of all time.
Best known for developing the theory of
relativity, he also made important
contributions to the development of the
theory of quantum mechanics. Relativity
and quantum mechanics are the two
pillars of modern physics.
