PROJECT REPORT CHECKLIST

The following checklist can be used as a sanity check to verify that the Project Report meets the expectations.
The checklist will also be used to evaluate the report. In the “Possible Points” column, each field has either an “ * ”
or a numeric value:
- “ * “ denotes a condition that has to be met, that is, no matter what the other points are, the Project Report
cannot be considered acceptable if those criteria are not met.
- the points for the other fields will be awarded if criteria are met. For the project report to be considered
acceptable, your total points have to be higher than 80 (max points =100).

literature review been conducted and presented?

Has the author included a “gap analysis”?


Is it clear what is the specific contribution and impact of the proposed

research? How is the proposed approach going to improve what was
already available?

Is it clear how the author got to the final design? Has the
proposed methodology been presented clearly?
Is it clear why the proposed approach was selected among many possible *
solutions? Is it clear what are the expectations of using the proposed
methodology?

TECHNICAL DETAILS - METHOD

Has the proposed approach been explained clearly?


That is, using the report, can I reproduce the results myself or some *
details are missing?
Have all the technical terms been explained properly? 7
Is the meaning of all technical words and symbols clear?
Has the author showed a proof or rigorously explained how
the proposed methodology works?
The math-physics-engineering principles on which the solution is based 8
should be clearly presented. All claims should be supported with writer’s
logic or by referencing other sources.

RESULTS

Is it clear how the proposed approach was tested?


Has the validation/verification procedure been clearly presented? Has the 7
approach been tested using simulations, experimental testing,.. ?

Is it clear what problem was considered in this project, the
