ELECTION COMMITTEE
Dear Members,
Greetings. I accepted the responsibility of conducting the election
to elect the office bearers for the next term in the Extraordinary General Body
CHAIRMAN
Meeting on November 26, 2023. I thank the General body and the current

cooperation from each one of you to enable to fulfill your expectation of fair

Election Process:

The election process has commenced and is expected to be completed by mid-
Go Green Initiative. January 2024. The Decision of the Election Committee will be final and binding in all
matters relating to the election process.
Eligibility to contest:
Eligibility to contest for the posts is as mentioned below:
a. Members of AIOTA who had completed a minimum of 3 years of
uninterrupted regular membership on/or before July 1, 2023, can contest for the
post of Executive Member
b. A member who has served as an EC member for at least two terms can only
contest for the post of Vice President/Secretary/ Treasurer.
c. Member who served as President/ Vice President/Secretary/Treasurer for at
least one term is eligible to contest for the post of President.
AIOTA ELECTIONS
d. Only those members whose membership has not been
withheld/suspended can contest, and there have been no disciplinary
proceedings against the member for any reason.
e. Those eligible to contest may self-nominate him/ her but for one post
only.
E L E C T I O N C O M M I T T E E f. Only members not holding any position as Dean or EC member in the
ACOT executive Committee can contest in the AIOTA elections.
CHAIRMAN Nomination Process: The entire AIOTA Election Process before November

nominated during the above-mentioned period and not wishing to contest in

nominations during the review process.

c. A Member can endorse only one nominee for office bearer position and 4

d. Endorsement requests are notified to the mailbox updated in the
membership directory, and requests are accepted /rejected online by accessing
the election portal. Action on Request will be notified to the nominee once the
action is completed.
e. Kindly ensure that you select the appropriate members to send the

h. Nomination is deemed to be complete only after verifying the payment of

Withdrawal/Review Process:
a. The member may withdraw his nomination before the prescribed date in

b. The deposit shall be non-refundable. In case of Withdrawal of nomination,
Dr.Anurupa Senapati 50% of the deposit will be refunded after the entire election process is

details for refund in case of Withdrawal of nomination.

d. More than one nomination from a member during the review process will

e. All Valid nominations are notified by email.
f. Ensure you upload a copy of all the necessary documents before
submitting the nomination (Profile picture, copy of membership certificate,
proof of payment transaction, and self-declaration form).

c. Members may select the appropriate nominee for voting for the posts of

e. The voting process will begin at 00.00 hours from the starting date and end
by 23.59 hours on the last day of the voting process.
Results :
The election results will be announced in the General body meeting 2024 by the
Chairman of the Election committee.
