The Golden Comet

A comet landed east of the lake, defending it is a huge snake (Bulette, pg 35MM, use thrash as a name
for deadly leap, add a damage die to the first rolls of damage to it and cut off the second one.) In the
snake's nest is a large golden egg. Scattered throughout the next are giant chunks of gold, (all valued to
about 600gp) and a strangely enchanted cloak.

(A druidic coat, wearing it proclaims your membership to that grove while increasing wisdom by 1 point
and granting an extra 5 health points)

The Book Theft

A grimoire from a Necromancer has been recovered. The temple of Mystra recovered the book and are
transporting it to Mistvale for investigation an most likely destruction.

Unbeknownst to the players and the temple, the grimoires attracted a lot of attention.

Shem and his ten men are thieves looking to snatch the grimoire before it arrives in Mistvale, the Golden
Blood needs a win.

Prycillius and Smasher, a 12 year old boy wearing a wizards hat, riding on the shoulder of a hill giant. An
actual genius, Prycillius started learning magic even younger than he is now. He and Smasher have a
relationship akin to a boy and his beloved dog. He desires to obtain the grimoire before Mistvale,
disdaining the college and its ways. With them is a strangely intelligent goblin called Snaptooth and his
pack of Blink Dogs.

Paladin Roan and Cleric Mathilda of Helm. Zealots and brutal enforcers of Helm's will, these two are only
let out on missions gained through communion with Helm and his servants. Charged by Helm via a
vision, the two have been sent to destroy the grimoire, no matter who gets in the way. Backing them up
is Zylana and Ferolus, elven druids who despise necromancy.

The Four Priestesses of Mystra are escorting the grimoire to Mistvale. Lacking talent in the arcane, they
are not even mighty clerics, but they know the truth of the matter. That none of the groups trying to
obtain the grimoire can do so, because its sealed in a Magic Cube.

A shadowy figure, wearing hooded garments, this short figure is hard to see. In reality he is a dwarven
vampire, named Lancasm working for Sassarikian interests in this matter.

And finally Serena, apprentice of Aultoff, the necromancer who created the grimoire. She demands that
her masters life work be returned. And also alledges that she and her master were peaceful and that
students sent out en mass by Jorshun exectued her master, and nearly killed her.

The Pulses of Magic.

Depending on who they talk to, the quest of the pulses is learnt of from either Narrod or Parnul (head of
the dwarven expeditionary force). The pulses come from an old artefact, called the Divine Forge, the
dwarves originally had four such forges, but the invasion destroyed three of them and the fourth was
lost. Narrod believes that someone has found the Divine Forge and has activated it. Unfortunately he has
little idea of what a Divine Forge does. Records from the Teloch Invasion and before it are spotty at best.
What he does know is that the Divine Forge promises a weapon of godly power.

Parnul has more information, the Divine Forge is a tool to create a Dwarven God. Built in age past by
their wise ancestors, Sassarik was originally a much more dangerous land. Through use of the Divine
Forge they crafted a minor deity. The willing scarifice of life, and dedicated belief in the god that is being
made is required to craft a god. At least a thousand lives are spent on creating one minor deity.
Unfortunately, these gods were always short lived, their worshippers were dead, sacrificed to create
them. Thus every moment they existed they would start to fade from existence. It was a dark time for
the dwarfs, but over five thousand years ago, they once held dominance over both surface and land, the
more lives and sacrificed to create a god, the longer it lasted and the more powerful it was. Eventually
the forges were shut down, but not forgotten in case the dwarves ever needed divine intervention once
more.

Now, one has been activated. And what's worse, the dwarves know they haven't activated the forge.
They're pretty sure that Teloch hasn't done so. Who has activated the forge, and by the numerous
pulses, and the strengthening of them, who is sacrificing untold thousands of lives to fuel the creation of
a god?

Narrod has the exact location of where he believes the forge is, done via extensive research, both in and
off the field. He dares not approach the mountain however, the pulses have gotten strong enough that
anyone too magical will be as weak as a kitten. He'll advise that the party try and recuit some
mercenaries to assist them.

Parnul knows of three dwarven fortresses that went forgotten during the war as the dwarves fled that
weren't discovered by Teloch. He'll send along his most veteran warrior, Hadrian. The matter is getting
urgent, if the party is convincing he can be convinced to send a squad of dwarves with the party under
command of Hadrian.

Session 5/09/2020

The proclaimers went back to dachell, noted squiddy hides his swords illogically (swords too small to fit
beneath counter), antagonized Donnel even worse. Billy paid 80 gp for concert, Varis hung up posters
(bonus), THEY WILL PUT on a concert that night, but they then investigated the Marquess' Manor.
Finding evidence, that the marquess was demoting the mayor and promoting, Jeremy, his love slave in
her place(two letters). Navarra found twenty letters detailing huge corruption in the mayors office
(sending supplies to Sassarik, Teloch) whereas the Marquess has been spending money recklessly, buying
exotic goods for no reason. Giant Statue with emeralds for eyes, and ruby for hair. Portraits of the same
woman littered his manor, his dead wife. They found that his son was planning to be an adventurer,
presumably this is when they captured him.
