IV. APPENDICES
A work immersion, it aims to expose the students to the workplace to apply the
acquired competencies from specialization and applied subjects. And The
students must experience the work immersion despite the present scenario.
This was done by bringing work immersion into the comfort of their home. This
study was practical action research that aimed to explore compliance,
difficulties, and evaluation of the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS)
students in work immersion at home. And also, this would enhance their
technical knowledge and skills, and develop good work habits, attitudes,
appreciation, and respect for work through the work immersion.
It demonstrates how national and local governments and Industries can better
coordinate and learn from each other through close collaboration in designing
curricular and learning materials that will help senior high school graduates
compete in high-growth, high-value and high-employment sectors. This aims to
better equip senior high school students for college, work or business; develop
life and career skills; and have attitudes, appreciation and respect for work. It
also allows them to have a smooth transition from school to work after they
gain valuable experience.
The program was opened with the simple prayer. Afterwards, Ma’am Eloisa
Dizon, School principal, gave some encouraging and motivating words to
students and parents. Sir Carlos G. Mateo, TPS in EPP/TLE/ division SHS
Focal Person used his personal life story by telling his experiences and
journeys, how he fell down and stood up again to reach his success to inspire
students to focus to their goals that they had set on their chosen fields. He also
left us with uplifting words saying “Aim above the mark and hit the mark”. After
that great encouragement by sir Carlos, ma’am Abegail A. Calimag, Work
Immersion Coordinator, explained succinctly the purpose of the work
immersion and which was immediately followed by the discussion of the
General Work Immersion Guidelines as bargained in the DepEd Order No. 30 s
2017. A question-and-answer session followed after by the Resource Speaker,
ma’am Mary V. Sayao.
The program was successfully closed by Ma’am Rovelyn R. Lucas with her
beautiful words of Gratitude to everyone and Inspiration to the students and a
prayer led by Emmanuel A. Alangue, Benevolence student.
WORK ETHICS
Tailor your resume to the job One of the most important things you can do
when writing a resume is to tailor it to the job you are applying for. This means
reading the job description carefully and highlighting the skills and experiences
that are most relevant to the position. By doing this, you can show the
employer that you are a good fit for the job and increase your chances of
getting an interview. Use strong action verbs Another important aspect of
resume writing is to use strong action verbs that describe your experiences and
achievements. This can help your resume stand out and make a strong
impression on the employer. Examples of strong action verbs include
"managed," "led," "implemented," and "achieved."
Keep it concise and easy to read Your resume should be easy to read and
should highlight your most important skills and experiences. It's important to
keep your resume
JOB INTERVIEW
Just as we have been preparing for a few days, the day has come for the mock
job interview held by us grade 12 students at PATUL NATIONAL HIGH
SCHOOL. But before we get to today's event, the students first prepared the
Temperance room because it will be used for the interview, the room of
Benevolence was used for orientation, and the room of Diligence became a
waiting area for those who have not yet been called.
In the orientation that was done, the criteria of our interview were
explained to us by sir Noel, Ma'am Joy and Sir Marbert also gave us tips on
what should and should not be done, before and after the interview, one of
them is to greet the interviewer a good morning and if you are not asked to sit
down, don't sit down. I was so nervous this day that I repeatedly reviewed my
prepared answers, and I felt a stomachache. When sir Noel pulled out the draw
lats, that's what I was saying and I was actually called, I’m really nervous, I was
thinking, what if I can't answer anything, that I might get a mental block later.
I'm not fluent in English yet. When I was standing in front of Ma'am Irene
Ibasco, I was just looking her in the eyes and just smiling from ear to ear, she
asked what I could be called and she introduced herself, we shook hands, she
sat down, and started asking questions.
When the interview was over, the moment I walked out the door, all the
thorns in my chest disappeared, I really breathed a sigh of relief and, of course,
after the interview I learned a lot, and realize what is wrong and what is right
should be answered, and was also given an idea of how the job interview
works.
Day 1
March 13 in the morning, everyone is exited because today is the day where we PNHS
students will conduct our first day of work immersion. You will feel the nervousness here and
despite your nervousness there is joy because today is your 1st day as a work immersion
student. And that's when I woke up early and got dressed so I waited for my friends Kyle Anne
and Mark jay to go to school at the same time so that we could all join our work immersion
coordinator Ma'am Aby and Sir Earl to go to Headquarters or 116. Because of it rained so hard,
we didn't have enough time and Mark jay and Kelly anne and I just went to 116 and that's
where we saw all our friends.
And when we got to 116 we immediately saw sir earl and we greeted the policemen we met
and attended to us. After the attendance was over, we were immediately sent upstairs
because it was said that our orientation about the taboos and limitations of what we will do
will be held there. And while waiting for everything to be completed, the senior police officers
first discussed about the PNP and they asked us to take the PNPA exam because this is a great
opportunity if you pass. When we were done, everyone was grouped into six groups and told
which station we were going to. I went to the station 4 located in batal elementary school and
around 8:55 we arrived at the station and were go the front, we gave the paper to (Police
Executive Master Sergeant ) Rodrigo Gonzales. Saculles and sent us to the back to be Oriented
again. When we were at the back, introduced the seniors of their station and sir saculles
talked to us about us, we introduced ourselves one by one and when we finished we waited to
see who would talk to us next. And there were officers who talked to us and gave us various
reminders and advice. Then sir saculles talked to us and gave us time for lunch break at 11:30
and sent us back at 1:00
When we were done, sir saculles looked at us and made us stand up and introduced ourselves
to him and asked what our plans were or what profession we planned and he gave me tips
about being patient and I learned a lot from him. And when it was over, we said goodbye to sir
saculles so we could have a snack and we went back right away. When sir saculles returned
from her walk, he discussed about their station and told us the details about their rules and
some rank of their unit and said that tomorrow there will be assigned to be a platon leader to
command us.sir marbert and sir dustin visit us in the station 4 before going home. 5:03 we
were all sent home. I learned a lot today and hope to learn more in the future
Day 2
March 14, 2023, Day 2 Work Immersion area. It's another great day for our
work immersion. In the morning, I came early at my work immersion area and
gave everyone a nice greetings and presence. After, I started to working on my
tasks and on my service.
At the early time of the morning, 8:00 am, a Command Ceremony happened. Where in
this ceremony, the prayer and meeting of Police Officers were done. After that event, I
was told to oberserve the things that have done by the criminology interns at Station
3. While in the afternoon, we were invited to hear and learn about the extraordinary
experiences and journeys of the processional police officers. They also told us about
the usage of various languages that should be used whenever you are ask to go for an
operation. It was led by PLT Jeofrey Solomon and done at around 3:00 pm. After those
good refreshments, at time 4:00 pm, our authorities once again taught us about the
proper posture, gesture, standing, and modulation of voice when talking to our
superiors. And at 5:00 pm, we all settled our things and prepared to leave our
authorities and the station.
It was a great experience to learn and acquire new knowledge about being a
police. From proper positions to proper languages. I also learned while
observing, that being a policeman was such a hard job but it was quite stress
relieving knowing and realizing that you were doing it all of those tiring things
for your city. I will treasure these learnings and will use it as one of the pieces
of my key for my chosen future career.
Day 3
3rd day of Work Immersion in the month of March. Another day of serving the
Station 3 and its authorities. I had an early greeting with Police Officers and
with my Co-interns. Afterwards, we all settled and prepared ourselves for our
daily tasks.
On my third day, we had a Dental Health Program during 9:00 am. The
program was done to ensure the health of every woman in Barangay Patul was
all in good condition for the woman's month. On the other hand of the day,
Patrol Man Dela Cruz had a lecture regarding to the Police Community
Relations. He discussed about the relationship of civilians or residents and
policemen. Next, he told us on how this relationship affects the community.
Then, he explained how this relationship impacts the community in a way of
unity, that they should not be afraid to have a communication to the policemen.
Lastly, he told us how this relationship builds a better community through
solidarity.
This day was full of learnings that I can apply to myself. From a warm morning
to the knowledgeable afternoon. I generally learned to be an attentive listener.
Listening in the right way helped me to have a better knowledge to something
and how can I recognize, acquire, organize, and interpret it. As I go through my
day, I knew a lot of things by listening attentively. And I ended up this day nicely
and in all condition.
Day 4
March 16 2023, was such a nice day. I felt great in the morning because I
wasn't late. I came early for an early preparation for an acknowledgement.
Then, I started to work on my tasks.
The first thing I did was working and applying my learnings that I got from the
advice and teachings of the police officers. One of them is opening up my mind
to have the right attitude towards the surroundings. In the time of 10 am in the
morning, I made an observation to those college students who were also doing
an OJT at station 3. Then in the afternoon, SPO4 Fidel Aquino, made another
brief lecture to us about his golden journey through his profession. He went
from a patrol man to his current position, as an outcome of his hard work. He
also mentioned all of the obstacles that he faced during his journey.
Today, I applied some new to things to myself due to that short but yet inspiring
lecture. I motivated by self by saying "If SP04 Fidel can do and have done it, so
do I. I ended my day and went home carrying the lessons I learned about life
strategies.
Day 5

are going to do and he said is that we go and observe the 4th year collages in disarming the
gun and we observed.
After that, we took apart the bullet from the magazine but for me it was easy because when I
was young my father taught me how to take apart the bullet and so on. After that we said
goodbye to have a snack with Sir Daracan .and around 11:40 we were allowed to eat lunch
and go home.
by Marvin Cutaran of station 4 and we are looking for our comrades and they are already in

and we will co-conduct a checkpoint there at about 2:30 Sir Saculles told us to follow the

skills that should be applied in our course.
SUMMARY OF LEARNING
All of the hard jobs around, one of the hardest is being a good student. Truly, it
takes a lot of responsibilities. It is where you put so much effort and hard work
in order to invest knowledge in young minds successfully. More so, you deal
with people with different perspectives in life and bind them as one. It’s really
challenging sometimes yet it’s really heart fulfilling
With this Work Immersion of the Senior High School, I’ve learned lots of things
and lessons and I would probably cherish forever. I’ve also experienced to be
one of those professionals, especially being a work immersion student even
just for a short period of time.
Well, during my almost 2 weeks stay at my dearest Alma Mater, Police Station
3, my Work Immersion Supervisor have taught me lots of things once again
that would be a big help for me to achieve my goals in life. The span of our
Work Immersion taught me how to be strong and confident - you need to be
strong and give all the best that you can and do not let other people be
distracted of your negativities and nervousness as well. Always be confident
and wear your perfect smile to influence your pupils and be able to have a
productive and active lecture.
I’ve also learned how to be patient and never give up when things fall apart
sometimes. Especially when a lot of people watching
