I’d like your opinion on some gadgets. I’ve been visiting all kind of shops which sell
mp3 players for ages and still can’t decide on one. This is really driving me crazy. What
would you choose; an iPod 4 Gb, 8Gb, 30Gb (the price difference is insignificant)or a
Samsung Indigo 4Gb (for the same price, but it has FM radio and voice recording
function)? Do you know if their ear-pieces are good? Is it possible to read books and set up dictionaries on an
iPod 30 GB? I need lots of memory because I have many audiobooks. Waiting for
your recommendations

You don’t really need so much memory. Ten average size audiobooks need only about 3.0 Gigs of memory. Do you
need to store all of them? Load a few, listen to them, then delete and load others.

You know you can install a good dictionary ( yourword.com) into your iPod , and it’s fairly cheap. I’m not sure how
good it is, though. And I’m sure it doesn’t have audio. It’s ironic, isn’t it?
Do you honestly believe that you’ll be listening to 30 Gb of audiobooks at the same time? I seriously doubt that.
FROM: Quick
You don’t need audio in dictionaries, it’s just a waste of a gadget memory in my case. I can read phonetics all
right :-)
FROM: D42
No, really. What if I’m on a train and can’t sleep ( it’s too dark to read)? It happens all the time, listening to
something could help, could be useful, too Besides, I’d like to enjoy music wherever I am , not only in
headphones but also for other people, like my students (training for listening comprehension)

Then buy a Samsung. It’s a great way to watch films and read text files. Ah, you can also use it to store pictures when
the card on your digital camera is full. Well, you have to buy this device to join the two (the camera and the player)

If you’re travelling, you’re lucky. Enjoy your trip and forget about computers. There’s no point worrying, is there?
