Spiritual Awakening
Spiritual Awaking also known as Self-Realisation signifies the end of the spirit or soul’s journey through the
multitude of lifetimes. In Buddhist philosophy, Spiritual Awakening is often described as the only raft in
which to cross the endless sea of rebirths. It is the most significant thing that can happen to a soul, and
encapsulates our entire reason for existence.
So in short, Spiritual Awaking or as it is referred to in some traditions, being “Born Again” isn’t just the end
of the journey, but it is the realisation that you are the journey. The realisation that none of these
countless lives that you have lived were truly you, but that they were only roles that you played, and that
the true you, the soul was merely a witness to the events, learning the lessons through the experiences of
the body-mind construct during each lifetime.
Remembering your past lives can be a major step towards your spiritual awakening and development,
while the end-destination of the journey through your lifetimes, is none other than Spiritual Awakening
itself. In other words, whether your client visited you out of curiosity, or the novelty of having a past life
experience, nothing happens by coincidence, and PLR forms a part of the development of their soul, on its
journey towards spiritual awakening.
When someone spiritually awakens, all “Sanchita” Karma falls away. We see a Biblical reference to this in
Isiah 1:18 that says, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red
as crimson, they shall be like wool.”
In our roles as PLRF we have to realise that our main purpose is to help others by guiding them through PL
experiences, but we are also vessels that help to facilitate their spiritual growth, and we should do so
equipped with the proper knowledge about, not only where they came from and where they are heading,
but also what the meaning and purpose of their journey is. Without the proper knowledge we are no
more than a novelty ride at the local fair, and our clients will leave with more questions and uncertainty
than what they had when first walking through our doors. By awaking spiritually we get to know, and
experience our true selves, our real identity and who we really are beyond these bodies and minds.
