EDITOR’S DESK :
(HAZRAT MAULANA SYED AHMED KHIZAR SHAH
MASOODI KASHMIRI Sb.)

The situation of Palestine is getting worse day by day.

Dead bodies of unarmed Palestinians are increasing
rapidly. It has been 84 days since the Palestinians are
facing the oppression continuously without any sigh of
relief and the homes and livelihood have become a pile
of rubble. The oppression and cruelty of Zionist and
Israel military towards Palestine is being watched by the
whole world but the UNO didn’t play a significant role as
a pacifier . too many meetings have been held but there
is no result came out in favour of Palestine and the whole
human brotherhood is concerned. Poor Palestinians
have been under the radar of Zionists since 1948 and the
cruelty of Zionist are increasing day by day from that
time. Palestinians are facing a tough time because of the
killings and deaths of families. No country or community
want to be occupied and ruled by an outsider illegally.
Masjid al-Aqsa holds immense significance in Islamic
religious tradition as well as history. It is known as the
first qibla of Muslims—the direction toward which
Muslims face to offer their salat—as well as the third
holiest site in Islam and that’s the reason Palestinians
are dying every single day to save this holy site.

The UNO should take a firm and effective step for the
safety of Palestinians and to stop the brutality of Israel.
Israel forces have killed children and women in huge
number. Even hospitals and tents are bombarded , and
the millions of people are facing shortage of food , water
and medcines ,no doubt Palestinians are fighting for
their freedom and no one can stop them from this right.

‘’VIVID VISION ‘’

Chapter – 1
Benefits of Prophet SAW’s (pbuh) teachings in
contemporary world.

There has been a lot written on the life of prophet saw

(pbuh). It is still being wriiten and will continue to be
written no matter how many centuries pass. Prophet
saw (pbuh) came to this world to establish the religion
of islam, to reform the society and to bring the
educational revolution in that dark period in which
moral, religious and social values were declining at a
rapid rate.
On the contrary, if it is said that all the values were
buried , it would not be an exaggeration. In that
‘’illiteracy period’’ no one’s life was safe, , nor honor, nor
respect for the relationships, nor the rights of
neighbours, nor the pride of daughters.
Prophet saw (pbuh) started the work for a righteous
and healthy society to bring peace in the world. Prophet
saw (pbuh) endured a lot of difficulties and hardships
with a smile on face and with full of patience. The
teachings of prophet saw (pbuh) are very simple and
easy to follow.
Prophet saw (pbuh) said about his religion –
‘’addeenuyusrun’’,
Which means that ‘’ the religion that I have brought is
very simple and easy to follow.’’
5

An important aspect of the authenticity and

truthfulness of his prophecy is the prophecies related
to the temptations that will occur near the end of the
world (qayamah). Prophet saw (pbuh) made his
Ummah aware about these worldly temptations, the
changes and the revolution that will arise in the world,
the decline of moral values, the turmoil in the religious
affairs, changes in the lifestyle and environment . it will
be very difficult to hold on to the religion and faith.
Prophet saw (pbuh) said – ‘’there will come a time
when it will easy to hold an ember in your hand but
difficult to hold on to faith’’ and I think we are living in
the same era where we feel shameful to follow Islamic
instructions and teachings and we feel proud to adopt
non-islamic customs and traditions. The negligence,
carelessness andescape from religious requirements
have completely changed the environment of our
homes and we have been hit by natural calamities like
frequent earthquakes and cyclones and droughts.
Tension in homes, tension in relationship, distant and
disobedience children are undoubtedly the bitter fruit
of abandoning Islamic teachings , otherwise the role of
women has been extremely prominent and essential in
every field of islam ancient times. Take the example of
the field of knowledge, who does not know the role and
scholarly services of hazrataisha, Khadija, umm salma
and hafsa ? in the later period too, the foothills of islam
was rich in scholars, hadiths and jurists. Some women
have passed such great knowledge of islam and
memorized tens of thousands of prophet’s hadith. It is
a pity that we have forgotten that golden era and have
no knowledge about our beautiful religion.
6

Our success , health , good morals in society , comforts

of home, peace of children and the happiness of
hereafter can only be achieved by following the
teachings of the messenger of Allah -prophet saw
(pbuh) and by following this our happiness and
prosperity is guaranteed. (UMM-E-HAMDAN SHAH)

Chapter- 2
WOMEN’S EDUCATION IN ISLAM

“ You teach a man, you teach a man.

You teach a women you teach a generation”.

Never was a sentiment more truly expressed. By nature

men have the tendency to learn something and keep it
to themselves. On the other hand when women learn
something they share it with their family friends,
children and even with their husbands.
Oppressed , inferior, and unequal-for many people,
these are the first words that comes to the mind when
thinking about women in Islam. These stereotypes
confuses Islam with cultural practice and fail to
recognize that Islam has empowered women with the
most progressive rights since the 7th century. Islam all
over the world is known as the most rigid and cruel
religion . Muslim women are known as the most
opressed and dominated species. Prophet
Muhammad(PBUH) preached islam, liberating muslim
women and girls in every walk of life and education was
his prime aspect.

How can islamopress women when even the first

revelation of Quran was “READ , READ IN THE NAME OF
YOUR LORD” and dressed whole humankind whether
man or woman to seek knowledge and develop thinking..
7

There is a Hadith quoted as - HE WHO TEACHES GIRLS

GOOD MANNERS AND EDUCATE THEM ,FEED AND
SHELTER THEM AND TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEM WILL BE
NEAR AND CLOSE TO ME IN PARADISE AS MY TWO
FINGERS ARE CLOSE TO EACH OTHER..

Another hadith- WHOSOEVER HAD A FEMALE( A

DAUGHTER) AND DOES NOT HUMILIATE, DOES NOT BURY
HER AND DOES NOT PREFERS HIS SON OVER HER , ALLAH
(SWT) GRANTS HIM PARADISE..

Education is not a right but a responsibility of ever

muslim women whether male or female, even at that
time Khadijah, the wife of PROPHET (PBUH) was a
wealthy business woman and employed several males
to do it in Arab and as far as Syria.
Education was important since the beginning of islam.
when woman get to burnt alive and buried, islam
abolished this oppression and raised the status of
women.

Another misconception about islam is that women are

only allowed to gain knowledge from women, being the
most flexible and practical religion Islam allowed
women to gain knowledge from male under proper
pardah and shariah ..

at various other times PROPHET(PBUH) told his followers

be it male or female :-
(a) “ acquisition of knowledge is binding on all muslims ,
male & female.
(b) “ Seek knowledge , from cradle to grave ‘’.
(c) “ the person who goes forth in search of knowledge
is striving hard in the way of Allah, until his/her return”.
8

Be it Khadijah, Aisha or Hafsa these women at that time

were masters of their field. there were many more
women at that time who were legal scholars ,
tradeswoman and orators. therefore, Muslims should
take these great women as their role models . Islam
command everyone to seek knowledge irrespective of
cast and creed. one should educate women and girls
and give them the opportunity to seek knowledge so
that they can pass it to the next generation that will
benefit the society, their families and their homes
because the impact of an educated women on society
is huge.. thus seeking knowledge is a fundamental right
of every Muslim woman.

In those times before islam women were considered as

lesser being all over the world..in west women were
considered as the roots of all evil while even in arab
daughters were considered a shame to the extent that
parents would bury their girls alive out of shame. When
women used to get burnt alive it was islam religion that
abolished this cruel act and gave respect to women..it
was islam who identified women as an equal member of
the society and raised their status and gave respect in
the society.

The common misconception about islam is that people

think its a male dominated religion where man enjoys
authority over woman especially when it comes to
matrimonial relationship. The first right islam has given
to the women is the freedom of marrying someone of
their choice.. therefore, the practice of forcing women
to marry someone against their will is not Islamic at all.
Islam is even against the dowry and it is compulsory on
man not to take anything from in laws , he should not
burdened his wife’s family even for a little thing.
9

Women are also allowed to work in islam in some

conditions, such as if a women is in financial need and
her employment does not cause her to neglect her
important role as a mother or wife.
The women has full financial status that is no less than
that of the man.she has the right to possess all time of
wealth in form of assets , property, cash.she has the
right to work and spend money she earns as she wishes.
She has no obligation to share her money with her
husband or another family member ,although she may
chose to do so out of her goodwill.

In islam, god clearly gives mother a high status and

elevates the position in the family. In Quran ,allah
mentions all the sacrifices mother make in bearing
children to remind people to treat their mothers with
love respect and care.. emphasizing the importance of
mothers Prophets said ‘heaven lies under the feet of
your mother’..

Before islam women all across the world were deprived

of inheritance, islam gave women the right to own
property and inherit from relatives.. whether a women is
a wife, mother, sister or daughter she receives a certain
share of her deceased relatives’s property. This share
depends on her relationship with the deceased and the
number of heirs. While many societies around the world
denied women inheritance islam assured women this
right.

In conclusion, islam has an extensive tradition of

protecting the civil liberties of women based on the
guidelines set forth by god and his prophet .. women are
empowered with many rights and protections under
islamic law and are honored with a dignified stature in
society.

CHAPTER-3
THE CHOSEN ONE : PROPHET SAW (PBUH)

‫َو ِإ َّنَك َلَع َل ٰى ُخ ُل ٍق َع ِظ یࣲم‬

(And you are a man of great moral character) -QURAN

No one but Allah SWT knows how long the world and its
system has been running. This vast world consists of
innumerable worlds, big and small, and all of them are
testifying to the power of Almighty Allah.
Allah created the order of the universe in superb detail
to allow man to grasp His greatness. Apart from our way
of living, eating or drinking, we, human beings, were
given health as well as intellect, consciousness,
distinction and wisdom, all Praise to Allah.
Allah SWT has created many worlds and beings which we
cannot see. The famous and well-known creatures
among them are 1- Human beings, 2- Jinns, 3- Animals
and 4- Angels. But humans are described as Ashraful
Makhlooqat or the most superior of all species in the
Holy Quran. Humans are considered so because they
have the power of reasoning and to choose their path of
conduct. Some tread upon the right path, some miss it
completely while some walk in between. The prime goal
of earthly life is a test of one's conduct on the basis of
power, strength, fame, poverty, illnesses, wealth & loss
of wealth etc. Moreover, humans are considered as the
most complex and advanced of Allah's creations not
because of their superiority of conduct but because of
their ability to select their path of conduct. After this
honor and dignity, Allah SWT sent prophets and
messengers to communicate his word to humanity.
These were the messages that described ways to live
and worship.
11

It is understood that some prophets are given books

(kitab), which gather the revelation or the messages
proclaimed by a prophet. These books contain the
preaching of the prophet concerned, on behalf of Allah.
The series of Prophethood started from Adam A.S. (PBUH)
and ended with the Prophet Muhammad SAW (PBUH). He
was the last of a line of prophets sent by Allah to guide
humanity. One of the marvelous qualities of our beloved
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was his infinite patience and
nobility. He was always considerate and understanding,
even toward those who were ignorant and arrogant
towards him. Indeed his gentleness and patience with
them earned their love and respect. An incident at the
Prophet’s mosque in Madinah demonstrates how lenient
and kind he was to ignorant people.
Abu Hurairah reports: While we were in the mosque with
Allah's Messenger (SAW), a desserted Arab came and
stood up and began to urinate in the mosque. The
Companions of Allah's Messenger said, stop, stop, but the
Messenger of Allah said, Don't interrupt him; leave him
alone. They left him alone, and when he finished urinating,
Allah's Messenger SAW (PBUH) called him and gently
stroked his shoulders with his hand and explained him
with love. Surely, your noble character was exemplary.
The Holy Quran was sent down in fragments to the
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from God through angel
(HazratJibreel A.S). He would descend surrounded by
angels so that the devils would not encroach on the Holy
Quran.
The verses sent down were relevant to the situation that
the Prophet SAW (PBUH) or the Muslims were dealing with
at that time, and so it served as a form of guidance and
direction to them.
12

In Quran, Allah SWT said, "If We had sent down this

Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have seen it
humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah." Verse
(59:21) Whenever the verses were revealed to Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH), many problems would have arisen in
front of him at the same time. Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH) wanted his people to stop worshipping many
gods and worship the one true God, the creator of the
universe. When he started preaching very few people
believed in him, and even when he performed miracles
people accused him of being a magician and possessed
by demons. He preached to his tribe for ten years, but he
never succeeded in converting them. Eventually they
wanted to kill him, and he migrated to the city of
Madinah Munawwarah. Prophet Muhammad was
constantly concerned for the well-being of the Ummah.
He worried not so much about their life in this world but
fretted over their place in the Hereafter.
He is known to have been distressed over the welfare of
his Ummah to the point that he would cry until his beard
was soaked with tears. My Ummah, my Ummah were the
words he spoke in his supplications to Allah SWT. His
compassion will also be needed on the Day of Judgment.
He was a brilliant example of a man committed to his
divinely appointed mission.
So it is no wonder that he stood firm against all
opposition and finally succeeded in winning over the
hearts and minds of millions. May Allah direct us all to the
blessings of the Glorious Quran and the Sunnah of His
Messenger (PBUH) and guide us to the straight path, the
path of those upon whom He has bestowed favour. Most
personalities of history are influential in some areas but
Prophet Muhammad SAW (PBUH) is influential in all areas
of life.
13

He was a messenger of God, a leader, a general in the

battlefield, a teacher, a spiritual religious figure, a
lawgiver, a maker of history, and most importantly, the
founder of the spirit of the modern age of knowledge,
wisdom and science. His goodness of mind was only
excelled by his goodness of character, whose ampleness
and magnanimity was not narrowed or ruffled by
anything. He was always overflowing with knowledge and
benefit, always easy with people, approachable,
informative, supportive, kind, generous, friendly, and
cheerful; teaching people through his noble manners and
actions as much as through his noble words. His name
and religion are still alive and it will continue till the Day of
Judgment. No other prophet, messenger or new law will
come. Prophet SAW abrogated the Torah, the Gospel,
and all the other divine books, as his arrival broke the
power of Qaisar and Kisra. Their governments were gone.
He not only abolished books, but also abolished all
religions except Islam. Prophet SAW (PBUH) said, "By the
One in whose Hand is my soul, even if Mūsā (may the
peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was alive, he
would have no choice but to follow me.” The holy book
QUARN was revealed on the Prophet for the guidance of
entire humanity. His message was for social
transformation rather than mere collection of certain
rites and rituals. He was the only man in the history who
was supremely successful on both religious and secular
levels. He also told us the signs of the Hour, that are
slowly being fulfilled, and ordered his Ummah to avoid all
the tribulations and riots before the Day of Resurrection.
Though Allah SWT exalted all the Prophets with many
qualities, Prophet Muhammad SAW (PBUH) was given a
distinguished position. There was not, and there cannot
ever be, a better teacher than Prophet Muhammad SAW
(PBUH).

(Syed Hamdan Shah Masoodi Kashmiri)

CHAPTER-4

(KID’S CORNER)

FIVE PILLARS OF ISLAM

The five pillars of islam are the most important

practice which every muslim should follow.
There are five obligations which every muslim has to
follow in order to live a good and responsible life
according to the religion of Islam

THE FIVE PILLARS OF ISLAM ARE –

1- SHAHADAH
2- SALAH
3- SAWM
4- ZAKAT
5- HAJJ

1- The first and the most important of five pillars of

islam is SHAHADAH. SHAHADAH means – there is no
god but ALLAH and Prophet Mustafa SAW (PBUH) is is
the last messenger of ALLAH.
15

2- The second most important Pillar of islam is SALAT.

Muslims pray five times a day facing Mecca. they pray
at dawn, noon, mid after-noon, sunset and after dark.
First prayer at dawn is known as FAJAR, second
prayer at noon is known as ZOHER, third prayed at
mid after-noon is known as ASAR, fourth prayer at
sunset is known as MAGHRIB and the last prayer after
dark is known as ESHA.

3- During Ramadn all muslims around the world fast

from dawn till dusk which means fasting from fajar to
maghrib. The fast encourages gratitude . it is also a
reminder to help those who are less fortunate.
16

4- Donating the charity to the people in need is

important part of our religion.According to Islamic law,
Muslims have to donate a portion of their income to
those more in need. For this reason, many wealthy
Muslims will build mosques, drinking fountains,
hospitals, schools, and more for their community.

5- Every muslim who is well enough must make a visit

to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia in their
lifetime. During this pilgrimage, they should visit the
Haram Mosque, where the Ka'ba is. This is a cubical
structure with black embroidery hanging. Muslims
believe that it is the house(Ibrahim AS) built for God,

Muslims pray while facing KAABA.Believers of the

Islamic faith have gathered around the Ka'ba ever since
the time of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon
Him). There is a dedicated month for the pilgrimage,
called Dhu al-Hijjah or Dhu Al Hijra.

So every muslim should know all these five pillars of

islam to lead a life according to our religion.

CHAPTER-7

BENEFITS OF KINDNESS IN ISLAM

Rather than viewing it exclusively as an action, think of
kindness as a quality of being you can cultivate. Giving
kindness often is simple , free and health- enhancing.

Kindness in Islam.
Kindness, as shown in the Quran, is an attribute that
Allah encourages believers to obtain and implement
into their daily lives. It is an act of worship, as Allah
states that people who don’t believe or are not mindful
of him are often the ones that prevent kindness. It is the
best manner of calling others to Islam and solving
problems graciously. It is one of the Names of Allah and
many of his other names contain its attribute. The
Messenger of Allah (pbuh) was so kind that other
people’s suffering made him suffer. The Quran and
teachings of the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) tell
humans to be kind. the sayings and lifestyle of Prophet
Muhammed (pbuh) are also a great way to learn about
kindness as he is the greatest benefactor of humanity
and a source of guidance for all mankind.

Good for the body.

Not only religiously, practicing kindness have so much
benefits for your Health and body. Kindness has been
shown to increase self- esteem, empathy and
compassion, and improve mood. It can decrease blood
pressure and cortisol, a hormone directly correlated
with the stress levels.
Kindness can increase your sense of connectivity with
others, decrease loneliness, combat low mood and
improve relationships. It also can be contagious,
encouraging others to join in with their own generous
needs.
21

Good for the mind

Physiologically, kindness can positively change your
brain by boosting levels of serotonin and dopamine.
These neurotransmitter produce feelings of
satisfaction and week being, and cause the pleasure
and reward centers in your brain to light up.

Be kind to yourself
And finally, take some quality time for yourself and
have a chat with your mind and heart. Say and do
something kind for yourself too. When sharing
kindness, it’s not how you treat other people- it’s also
about how you extend those same behaviour and
intensions to yourself. I believe you can be kinder in
your own self- talk and practice gratitude.
People are good at verbally beating themselves up
which does not work as a pep talk. Rather, negatively
often causes you to unravel and may even create a
vicious cycle of regularly getting down on yourself. You
wouldn’t talk to other people the way you sometimes
speak to yourself. This is what I called a good self- talk
policy, which can be helpful. If you wouldn’t say it to
others, don’t say it about yourself.
