importance of photography. Maybe some of us were wondering about how photography became
essential in our lives. Let me explain to you why.
2. Capture history
Photography is very vital in studying and preserving history because we people stick
with the notion that “to see is to believe.” For example, if historians assert that gigantic
creatures used to live in this world, we will not believe them unless they release photos
of recovered bones of those gigantic animals. Furthermore, we’ll be able to learn history
easily through visual means.(mas kapani-paniwala ang isang bagay kapag nakikita
kaysa naririnig lang.)
3. Tells stories
Photos tell us stories. How? When you see a photo, have you ever questioned yourself?
Why are they laughing? Why are these people crying? Why is the color so dark? Why is
the color of the photo so bright? And that’s when you know that the photos or the one
who took the photos wanted to tell stories; there are tales and meanings behind every
shot. And it serves as a great way of telling a story that cannot be told in words.
5. Self-expression
Just like in any form of art—painting or drawing—photography can also be a means of
self-expression. You can take photos that can freely express your inner thoughts, ideas,
and emotions. When you’re not vocal or when you’re afraid of communicating verbally
with others, capturing photos would be of great help in revealing your inner self to
others.
