32. Two sides AB and BC and median AM of one triangle ABC are respectively equal to
sides PQ and QR and median PN of ∆PQR. Show that:
(i) ∆ABM ≅∆PQN and (ii) ∆ABC ≅∆PQR

33. ABCD is a rectangle and P, Q, R and S are the mid-points of the sides AB, BC, CD and DA
respectively. Show that the Quadrilateral PQRS is a rhombus.
34. A,B,C and D are four points on a circle. AC and BD intersect at a point E such that ∠BEC = 130°
and ∠ECD=20° . Find ∠BAC.

36. Iscosceles triangle were used to construct a bridge in which the base(unequal side) of
an iscosceles triangle is 4 cm and its perimeter is 20 cm

(i) What is the length of equal sides? ( 1 mark)


(ii) If the sides of a triangle are in the ratio 3:5:7 and its perimeter is 300m.
Find its area ? ( 3 marks)

37. Amit went to buy some vegetables, he bought ‘x’ kgs. of tomato and ‘y’ kgs. of potato. The total
cost of vegetables comes out to be of Rs. 200. Now if the cost of 1 kg of tomato is Rs. 50 and 1
kg of potato is Rs. 20, then answer the following questions

(i) Which of the following equations represent the total cost. (2)
(ii) If Anil bought ‘x’ kgs of tomato and 2.5 kgs. of potato, then find the value of ‘x’. (1)
(iii) If Anil bought ‘2’ kgs of tomato and ‘y’ kgs of potato, then find the value of ‘y’. (1)
38. Ajay is a Class IX student. His class teacher Mrs. Kiran arranged a historical trip to great Stupa of
Sanchi. She explained that Stupa of Sanchi is great example of architecture in India. Its base part
is cylindrical in shape. The dome of this stupa is hemispherical in shape, known as Anda. It also
contains a cubical shape part called Hermika at the top. Path around Anda is known as
Pradakshina Path.

(i) Find the lateral surface area of the Hermika, if the side of cubical part is 8 m. (2)
(ii) If the diameter of the Anda is 42 m, Find the volume of the Anda. (2)
