The practical assessment shall be carried out and performed


individually in an approved Cargo Handling Simulator with a student
Condition ratio of 4:1. The student must demonstrate the required outcome
according to performance standard within time prescribed, a cargo plan
is provided

Student shall be familiarized with the use of the simulator using the
Familiarization “Cargo Handling Simulator (Simulator Familiarization Checklist)”
attached.
Scenario Description At Johor Oil terminal, Berth no. 2, MT Acada Dolphin is to be loaded a
cargo of Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK) .
Before loading to commence, it is necessary to familiarize the piping to

the new officers and crew who recently joined the vessel.
Type of ship: Oil/Chemical Tanker
Deadweight: 55,000 tonnes
LOA : 203.00 meters
Maximum cargo intake 1500 m3 per hour.

Density @ 15°C: 0.7900
Cargo loading temperature: 25°C
Volume Correction Factor: see table ASTM 54B
1. Drafts on arrival: Fore 4.00M, Aft: 6.00M, Trim: 2.00M
2. 6 pairs of Cargo tanks are all Epoxy coated;
3.Vessel is empty of cargo and in 90% ballast in her Segregated
Ballast
Tanks;
4. All cargo tanks are cleaned to methanol grade, inspected by
SGS
Surveyors and certified fit for loading ATK;
