3. For the given reaction


CuCl2 + 2 NaNO3 → Cu(NO3)2 + 2 NaCl
If 20g of CuCl2 is reacting 15g of NaNO3
a. Find the limiting reactant (Ans = NaNO3)
b. Find the excess reactant. Also find how much moles and mass of reactant is in excess (CuCl 2) (Ans =
CuCl2 , 0.06 moles of CuCl2 and 8.1g of CuCl2)
c. Calculate the mass of NaCl produced (Ans = 0.176 moles and 10.296g)

4. The reaction for the combustion of ethane is shown by the balanced reaction below

2 C2H6 + 7 O2 → 6 H2O + 4CO2

1.4g of C2H6 was burned in presence of 4.5g of O2 .Determine the limiting reagent.(Ans = Oxygen is the
limiting reactant)

5. In the reaction below , 2.34g of I2O5 react with 3.40g of CO. How many grams of CO2 are produced ?
(Ans = 1.54)

6. If 6.71g of CO and 8g of H2 are reacted , Which is the limiting reacgent? (Ans = CO)

7. 25cm3 of 2 mol/dm3 barium hydroxide solution reacted with 22.8cm3 of hydrochloric acid.

Calculate the concentration of hydrochloric acid.
