Never in the history of our people

rich , progressive as now

However, I feel overwhelmed
before the dizzying change of climate change.

It looks simple but it really isn't

Greenhouse gases retain energy from the sun

and move it into our atmosphere.

This leads to warmer winters, more sultry summers.

The drier the dry places are, the wetter the wetter.

Countless ecosystems will die while sea level

rise and drown the cities we build.

Then why don't we...

stop all that?
it's complicated

Debates about preventing climate change

usually only focus on a few important aspects

like a coal plant, or a car

So the solution is often simple often proposed is to use

solar cells, cycling to work, or using public transport or something sustainable.

And an important topic is personal responsibility.

How you should change your lifestyle to prevent climate change, wrong here
we will learn about it. And to discuss practical solutions,

first we need to understand the problem

A Panorama

The modern industrial society we have built in the last 150 years is actually very
dangerous to the Earth.

Basically, everything we do to make life simpler, safer and more comfortable is

damaging the biosphere. The food we eat, the way we go, the clothes we wear,
the equipment we use, the way we walk and the atmosphere

While most people are aware of the serious impacts of energy, cars and
airplanes, the major causes of pollution are almost not mentioned as emissions
rising from landfills as much as all of the airplane's emissions are released into
the environment

Our house emits more CO2 than all cars combined.

And emissions arise when producing a car equal to the construction of only 2
meters of road.
So switching to electric cars doesn't make any sense if we keep building roads.

Modification of a small part of the industrial system is not enough. Each such
department needs its own solution, and most of them are not clear.

But even if we know what to do, just because a solution exists does not mean
that we are capable or willing to implement it.

Because 63% of global emissions come from developing countries.

It will be difficult to call on a country to protect primeval forests and spend

money on solar cells

instead of burning wood, if that country hasn't even met the basic needs of its
people.

So cutting is not a common requirement, especially for countries that get rich by
damaging the environment if we forget this, we will propose unrealistic
solutions.

Concrete, for example.

8% of all CO2 emissions are emitted from the concrete manufacturing industry .
So why not stop using concrete ?
But at the moment, concrete is a cheap material and the simplest way to build
houses in developing countries.

There are many other examples as well. Even wealthy countries cannot avoid
disagreeing on climate change solutions.

The Prohibition of coal, gas and oil is not enforceable because we do not know
what to use on their behalf. Citizens are often very opposed to nuclear plants but
at the same time they hate building wind or solar power plants

Theoretically, all these problems can be solved - but there are things we don't
know how to solve.

The biggest problem is food.

Soon, there will be 10 billion mouths to eat, and we don't know how to do it
without emitting greenhouse gases.

Because of the nature of the need for fertilizers in the modern process of food
production, it is impossible to create an exhaust air feed source.

Rice production each year emits methane as much as emissions from all air
vehicles worldwide.

Worse, the food we like the most emits the most gas. 57% of food emissions
come from foods of animal origin, although they account for only 18% of
calories and 37% of protein worldwide.
And as people get richer, the more we want to eat meat.

But with the development of the meat industry and livestock enterprises, meat
has become an indispensable important dish in developed countries, and a
symbol of social status and wealth
Today about 40% of the habitable land on Earth is used to produce meat, equal
to the total area of North and South America combined. We can use this land to
leave room for ecosystems in the restored nature, such as the Amazon jungle to
absorb carbon in the atmosphere, but we use it to feed animals.

and there are many controversial views,

compare it, for example, to the worst sources of emissions. As air travel,
transportation

What does this mean?

Do we have to give up our current lifestyle?

Is the lower class not allowed to grow?

Is there any technology that keeps us driving every day?

Can you help change the climate?

A common notion today is that we are all responsible for climate change.
Everyone has their own role. Why not buy a new electric car? Why don't you
replace the gas stove with an electric stove? Why not double the glass for the
window, stop eating meat and turn off the lights?

Pushing responsibility from the biggest sources of carbon emissions to a normal

person like you is much easier than actually solving the problem.

There's another reason, preventing climate change if you don't have enough
money or time for these things, you should be embarrassed.

It's an effective message because it's right.

The fastest way to cut CO2 emissions is when

everyone on Earth has changed drastically.

their lifestyle prioritizes climate over their own comfort and wealth.

But we've just witnessed a global experiment on staying home, not using
transportation and consuming less during the last Covid-19 pandemic. And all it
does is reduce CO2 emissions by 7% in 2020. Calling people to fight climate
change will fail when we look at the scale of the problem.
Individual contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions are good, but it is
nothing compared to global emissions.

If you eliminate 100% of the emissions for the rest of your life, you will save 1
second in global emissions.
this challenge seems too impossible.

So...

can you really do anything?

There are many opinions and they are actively discussed every day.

Point of view: what can you really do?

We need a different way of thinking and talking about climate change.

A comprehensive approach system, which changes what is most fundamental of
modern industrial societies.
We need them to be responsible for their implementation
the most effective strategies for climate change.

Don't waste time with things like banning plastic straws but pulling larger
leverages:

Food, transportation, energy and also

do not forget about small things like cement

and construction.

we need politicians to change the law,

encourage the implementation of existing technologies

and invest heavily in innovations

in areas where we are not yet available

There can be no need to cut emissions

the more carbon the better it doesn't matter

by the profitability of industries

It's still unrealistic to say the change
at this level can affect the whole world quickly enough
some aspects.
Only if we accept that some solution
it will have a negative impact on us so we can
talk honestly and progress.

Everyone will not be happy a little.

but

This is the best solution.

You can face this truth and

promote your priorities through behavior
and your actions.

And while doing that, you can eat

less meat, fly less or buy an electric car.

Not because you feel guilty about not buying

or because you naively believe that you

can prevent climate change-that because you can

contributing a small part to the great change

that we need.
