Teachers”
II. Rationale
In the current era of technological advancements, the safety and well-being of

children are increasingly jeopardized by the widespread use of internet platforms.
Recognizing the urgency of addressing both online threats and health-related concerns,
Del Carmen Integrated School has strategically organized a comprehensive seminar
workshop. This initiative aims to tackle the challenges posed by "Anti-Online Sexual
Abuse or Exploitation for Children (Anti-OSAEC), Anti-Child Sexual Abuse and
Exploitation Materials (Anti-CSAEM)," as well as issues related to Human
Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
As technology becomes an integral part of education, learners are exposed to
more online platforms, leading to a digital transformation and increased vulnerability.
This seminar recognizes the crucial role of educators in responding to indicators of
abuse and distress. By providing insights into online threats and exploitation, the
workshop empowers educators to identify, report, and mitigate potential harm, ensuring
the safety of their students. Simultaneously, the seminar adopts a student-centric
approach, acknowledging their active use of the internet. It emphasizes the importance

of teaching students about potential online hazards and appropriate conduct. Through
this symposium, both educators and students are equipped with the necessary
knowledge to create a secure and inclusive digital environment.
Understanding the pressing need for proactive steps against online threats, Del
Carmen Integrated School has expanded the scope of the seminar workshop to include
the critical topic of "Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)." This initiative aligns with the
school's commitment to ensuring the overall safety and well-being of its community in
the digital age. By promoting awareness, education, and collaboration, the seminar
aims to create a culture of cybersecurity and digital literacy within the school
community.
In addition to addressing online threats, the school conducted a seminar workshop
whose aim is to arm students with accurate knowledge about HIV, dispel myths, and
promote responsible behavior. The administration seeks to create a supportive and
knowledgeable atmosphere, fostering a generation of responsible, caring, and
knowledgeable individuals. By tackling the issues of online threats and HIV in tandem,
Del Carmen Integrated School aims to contribute to a greater global effort to ensure the
safety, health, and well-being of its students.
Moreover, the combined efforts in addressing "Anti-Online Child Abuse and
Exploitation (Anti-OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials
(Anti-CSAEM)" alongside HIV education showcase Del Carmen Integrated School's
proactive and holistic approach. By fostering awareness, knowledge, and collaboration,
the school aims to ensure the safety and well-being of its community in the digital age
while contributing to a broader initiative to create responsible, informed, and healthy
individuals.
Training Description
During the course of the training, each teacher participant is

expected to
 Identify red flags and recognizing potential risks.
 Educate teachers and learners about responsible online
behavior.
 Promote digital literacy skills to navigate the online environment
safely.
 Recognize the impact of CSAEM on children and society.
 Empower students with the knowledge and skills to protect
themselves from online exploitation
 Implement age-appropriate internet safety education in schools
and teach students about the risks associated with CSAEM.
 Understanding HIV: Breaking Barriers, Building Knowledge

 Assist the students in encouraging safe behavior to support the
adoption of safe and responsible behavior in order to stop the
spread of HIV
 Collaborate in creating trainings/seminars for learners to
capacitate their potential for the betterment and fulfillment of their
goals.
