 About the Workshop

Vedic Mathematics is a system of mathematics which was discovered by Indian Mathematician Jagadguru Shri
Bharathi Krishna Tirthaji. Veda is a Sanskrit word which means ‘knowledge’.

Using Regular Mathematical steps solving problems sometimes are complex and time consuming. But using
Vedic mathematics general techniques (applicable to all sets of given data) and specific techniques (applicable
to specific sets of given data), numerical calculations can be done very fast.

In this workshop, the experts of Vedic Mathematics taught its concepts and applications in arithmetic, algebra
and geometry. The main objective of the course was to understand & comprehend the basic ideas, principles,
methods & algorithms using some sutras of Vedic Ganit (mathematics and computation) as well as to
understand some glorious facts from history of Bharatiya Ganit.

This five day’s workshop was designed to help us overcome fear of maths. Calculating using Vedic mathematics
is much faster than the normal mathematics. In fact, Vedic maths is considered as the fastest way in the world
to do mathematics. Besides that, it also makes the person confident and interested in the subject. It helps
sharpen your mind. Vedic Mathematics cultivates an interest for numbers and eliminates the phobia of math
present in most of the students.
