Essay Of Air Pollution

Crafting an essay on the subject of air pollution can be a challenging endeavor, as it requires a
comprehensive understanding of the complexities surrounding this environmental issue. The
difficulty lies not only in presenting factual information but also in delving into the intricate web of
causes, effects, and potential solutions associated with air pollution.

One of the primary challenges is to strike a balance between scientific data and engaging narrative.
Addressing the technical aspects of air pollution demands a careful interpretation of scientific
studies, statistics, and environmental reports. On the other hand, conveying the urgency and
relevance of the issue to a broader audience involves employing a writing style that is accessible,
persuasive, and emotionally compelling.

Furthermore, the scope of the essay should encompass a wide range of pollutants, their sources, and
the diverse consequences on human health, ecosystems, and the climate. This requires meticulous
research and the ability to synthesize information from various disciplines, including environmental
science, public health, and policy studies.

Moreover, discussing potential solutions to mitigate air pollution adds another layer of complexity. A
well-rounded essay should not only highlight existing strategies but also propose innovative ideas
and explore the challenges of implementing them on a global scale.

In conclusion, crafting an essay on air pollution demands a multidimensional approach that

incorporates scientific rigor, effective communication, and a profound awareness of the broader
implications of the issue. Successfully navigating through these challenges requires time, dedication,
and a genuine commitment to raising awareness about the critical environmental problems our world
faces today.

I Am A Professional Engineer
It is not easy to become a successful, professional engineer. A professional engineer
requires high responsibility, especially problem based solving skills to cope with
workplace environment and compete with others. Problem based learning (PBL) is
really important to reflect the professional practice of engineers. There have been
several definitions of PBL. According to Lizinger, Lattuca, Hadgraft and Newstetter
(2011, p.134), PBL is the approach that allows learners to practice finding solutions
throughout their academy. Learners in a PBL process have to reflect, identify and learn
about the complex problem and the cycle is repeated until learners find a solution that
they can do both in writing and presentation. There are some basics of PBL such as
decision making, communication, collaboration, self regulation, self motivation and
flexibility. These basics are the base for every engineerto become a successful
professional practicing engineer.

Decision making ability helps engineers to learn deeply from the problems and have
ability to analyse and get the detail of the problems before planning to solve them. Deep
learners focus on the problem carefully and get all information about it. Lizinger, Lattuca,
Hadgraft and Newstetter (2011, p.126) state that the experiences of the effective learning
from deep learning leads learners to understand key words and general principle to
develop both technic and profession. Not only deep learning, decision making ability
improves
The Veldt Analysis
As technology is advancing, it is ruining our reputations and everyday lives because
we use it too much. The Veldt by Ray Bradbury is a story of parents who use too much
technology to spoil their two kids which rely on technology and use it to kill their own
parents. The Atlantic is an article on how technology has changed the concept of the
community and how it affects people s daily lives in mostly negative ways. In both
sources, humans rely on technology too much, having a negative effect. In both sources,
technology has a negative effect of people being too reliant on it. George says he is
going to shut off the nursery and when Peter responds, it shows the amount of technology
the family uses on a daily basis: That sounds dreadful!... Show more content on

It felt like a mechanical cemetery (Bradbury 12). While being described as a
mechanical cemetery the simile portrays the work they do at their house as dead
because Peter and Wendy and their parents sit and have their work done for them like
dead people not moving. This excessive reliance on technology is also seen in The
Atlantic when Brownstein observes and finds that People have also become too attached
to it, they feel like they can not function without it, he worries that the increased reliance
on digital technologies has reduced his job opportunities (Brownstein). Like Peter and
Wendy, people do not know what they would do without it. Today people are so into
technology that they do not see how much they actually rely on technology to survive
life. Society s reliance on technology has made Brownstein realize At a time when
Americans can flick a keyboard or swipe a touchscreen to connect with products, people,
and information from anywhere in the world, are they in danger of disconnecting from
their own communities? (Brownstein). In our world of technology in our everyday lives,
it has left us with the horrible consequences of disconnecting with technology. Both
Bradbury and Brownstein are showing that there is too much technology in our
Quester In Mulan
The five aspects of QUEST are (a) a quester, (b) a place to go, (c) a stated reason to go
there, (d) challenges and trials en route, and (e) a real reason to go there. I m going to
apply the five aspects of the QUEST to the movie Mulan. (a) Quester: The quester in
the movie is the main character of the movie, Mulan. (b) A Place to Go: The place she
needed to go was to the army. (c) A Stated Reason: She wanted to go fight in place for
her father. (d) Challenges: She had to dress and act like a man in order not to blow her
cover; her cover ended up being blown when she got injured and the army no longer
respected her and saw her as a soldier because she was a woman; and she ended up
having to fight the main villain of the story, Shang. (e) Real Reason to Go: Mulan wanted
to bring honour to her family.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thinking about these essentials, the character Count Olaf from A Series of Unfortunate
Events came to mind. In the book, three orphan siblings are forced by Count Olaf to

His actions keep the children from having normal, happy lives because he was using

Social Media Spread Hate Speech
Social Media As A Way To Spread Hate Speech
Hate Speech is considered to be words used against an individual, a group or any
community that incites violence against them whether verbal or physical and works as a
threatening or humiliating mechanism in the grand scheme of things. Whenever we
consider freedom of speech and expression it is the issue of hate speech being seemingly
validated or going unchecked that causes skepticism in the on lookers and those at the
receiving end. Social media has globalized the world and with social websites such as
YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr it has become rather easy to
accumulate masses and share personal views and opinions. Facebook itself has more
than 400 million users and has a fair ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In some instances, people claimed they did not perceive their words as hateful or that
they were entitled to their opinions regardless of the content. An overlap with the
professional and legal concerns came into view with the case of Nina Yoder in Yoder
v. University of Louisville 2009 when Ms. Yoder was a nursing student and made
caustic and profane observations on race, sex, and religion when commenting in
MySpace postings about patients she had encountered. The School of Nursing
expelled her for violating their honor code and she was tried in the US District Court
with the case ending in her favor. Many legal entanglements to follow have had
students, as the perpetrators of hate speech against their principals as in the cases of
Layshock v. Hermitage School District and J.S. v. Blue Mountain School District where
the use of vulgar, defamatory, disparaging and offensive speech was used on MySpace
accounts. (Jeff Cain, 2010). There are states where challenging the Holocaust, showing a
pro Nazi or anti Semitic response could lead to legal actions taken against people. In
many parts of the Muslim world using any illicit or degrading remarks against the
Prophet of Islam might lead to capital punishment. In those instances,
Models of Memory
Outline and Evaluate Models of Memory. (12 Marks)
There are roughly four models of memory in total, but two stand out and are used in this
particular specification.
Atkinson and Schifrin s (1968) Multi Store Model is one of them.

Their model suggests that the memory consists of three stores, a sensory store, a short
term store and a long term store; all three have a specific and relatively inflexible
function. It stressed that information for our environment such as the visual or auditory
and haptic (by touch) initially goes into the sensory memory or empirical register.
However, it has very limited capacity, and its duration is very brief, so if we do not
notice this much we would forget it, but if we pay attention to it or think ... Show more

If we then decide to remember the information, it would then go back to the short term
memory where it would be rehearsed.
In the Long term memory, information is encoded as declarative semantic or episodic
according to Tulvig. It is also encoded as semantic memory as stated by Baddeley. The
only problem with this is that the test lacks ecological validity as it was carried out in
a laboratory, and that the study could be criticized in terms of demand characteristics
where the people involved could have already known what results they were aiming
for, in which case the results would be biased. There was also experimenter bias, as the
person involved already knew what he was aiming for and didn t allow for natural
course of events. Also the group was not a representative of all the undergraduates tested.
On a Positive note, the study has good reliability as the group was partially quite big.
This study has been supported by several theories and psychologists as well as statements.
The primacy effect supports this study, as it stresses that through research those who had
to recall a list of items, recalled the first ones and last ones better than those through the
middle as earlier items were rehearsed better and transferred to the Lon term memory
whilst later ones were in the short term memory. As it also suggests, rehearsal was
prevented by an interference task, meaning that the
THE FORGOTTEN HISTORY OF THE WESTERN CINEMA
THE FORGOTTEN HISTORY OF THE WESTERN CINEMA

The western movies are film genre where the scene generally takes place in North
America during the American conquest of the West in the last decades of the nineteenth
century. This genre appears since the invention of the cinema in 1985 finding its
inspiration from literature and painting arts of the American Wild West. This genre
reached its first success in the mid twentieth century during the golden age of Hollywood
studios, before it had being reinvented by European filmmakers in the 1960s.

The term Western has since been attributed to other visual arts such as literature, painting,
television, cartoon, and now refers to all artistic production influenced by the atmosphere
and the clichés ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the 1880s, the Wild West was the theme of many shows such as the famous Wild
West Show by Buffalo Bill. By 1900, the theme is already so popular that it naturally
became a source of inspiration for the pioneers of the film industry. In 1903, hollywood
released the first Western movie The Great Train Robbery . It is a twenty minutes silent
movie written, produced, and directed by Edwin S. Porter. This production was directly
inspired by the true story of the Wild Bunch gang also know as the Doolin Dalton gang
during the 1890s (Clapham). The Western became officially a film genre in the 1920s.

Very quickly, the western got detached little bit from reality to gain more freedom and
imagination. Hollywood now created a mythical representation of the cowboy. This
simple cowherd has become a heroic and virtuous character with impeccable and
irreprochable qualities (Clapham, p.13). The western has also built a legend around
iconic figures such as Billy the Kid and Jesse James. It was inspired by events such as
the Gunfight of OK Corral, which was staged in many films. At the end of the movie
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance , produced by John Ford in 1962, a phrase captures
the essence of western: When the legend sells better than the

In Depth look at Autism Spectrum Disorder

Autism Spectrum Disorder, or ASD, is a complex developmental disorder which is
usually diagnosed during the first 3 years of life. The disorder is characterized by severe
difficulty or inability in communicating, socializing, forming relationships with others,
and responding appropriately to the environment. According to the Diagnostic and
Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM IV, ASD was one of the diagnosis
covered under the Persuasive Developmental Disorders category. The other diagnoses
that were part of this category included Rett s Disorder, Childhood Disintegrative
Disorder, Asperger s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Autism has become one of the fastest growing developmental disorder in the recent
years. In the year 2000, the prevalence of ASD was 1 out of 150 school age children
(Schaefer, 2016, pg***). According to the latest data by the Center of Disease Control,
or CDC, it is estimated that the incidence is now 1 in every 68 children that is
diagnosed with autism in the United States. It is also estimated that autism is
approximately 4.5 times more common among boys (1 in 42) than among girls (1 in
189) (CDC, 2014).
Risks and Predisposing Factors
From the time autism was identified in the 1940s, several theories have tried to explain
its etiology. The earliest theories proposed as origin of autism was framed in the context
of the early psychiatric models in the 1940 s, and believed that autism was an acquired
condition associated with children raised by cold, emotionally distant mothers (Schaefer,
***). Another early hypothesis proposed as being a risk for developing autistic disorder
was the use of the measles mumps rubella vaccine or the preservative thimerosal, but this
hypothesis has been disproved (Anagnostou, Zwaigenbaum...., pg 510). It is now known
that autism is a condition with a strong genetic basis, with more than 80% heritability
(Meng chang pg 903), but just like almost every medical condition known to man, it has
several genetic and environmental risk factors. As mentioned earlier, autistic disorder is
4.5 times more common in males than females, which
