Vicious Cycle Of Animal Abuse
The Earth never wavers in support of its inhabitants no matter how those habitants
degrade and destroy it. Humans take from the Earth whatever they want and are mostly
neglectful in returning any compensation. This vicious cycle of damage (such as food
source and freshwater depletion) will continue if the current rate at which people are
being born does not begin to slow down, and if the existing masses do not begin to
realize that they have askewed the notions of necessity and indulgence; materialism is
not the dominant source of happiness in life. People have become so ignorant of this that
they have taught themselves that they deserve a joyful life at the expense of nature. The
Earthcannot continue to be stripped of its finite amount... Show more content on

This has caused farming companies to find faster ways of raising livestock and the
animals take the abuse of these techniques. Animals are being kept in tightly confined
spaces, crowded together to the point where they cannot move. Chickens are confined
to tiny wire cages where they are feed so much that they grow too fast and break their
legs under their own weight. Pigs and cows are held in large pens filled so full with
their feces that they contract many diseases, and die horrible deaths. Also, many of the
people who regulate all of these horrible conditions take their own frustrations out on the
animals, or they take pleasure in causing pain onto these defenseless creatures. Even with
the need for more meat, animals should not have to suffer the ignorance of humans;
humanity should be smart enough to find more humane methods of raising animals.
Also, because land is essential for survival, more of it is being taken away from wildlife,
ensuring the destruction of many different species. Already, many different species are
endangered, but people and companies are not rectifying this. Instead, people have taken
away habitat for plants and animals, sucked up their water, and surround them with
pollution (Biologicaldiversity.org 1). For example, the florida panther population has
plummeted as the state s population has almost doubled The Earth depends on
biodiversity to survive, but humans, because of their unfaltering desire for luxury, are
setting themselves up for destruction. However, it is not just the elimination of land that
is causing this, but also overfishing, and overhunting. The bluefish tuna has been
severely overfished to the point where one, single fish sold for $396,000
(biologicaldiversity.org). Fisheries have to have a catch reduction of 20 50 percent is
needed to make global fisheries sustainable but it is not

The Controversy Of Vegetarianism In Australia
One of the biggest ethical issues in food today is centred around eating or not eating
meat. There are many people for eating meat and many against it and is often a hotly
debated topic. The number of vegetarians in Australia is rising steadily each year with
approximately 2.1 million or 11.2% of the Australian population are practising
vegetarianism.
One of the biggest arguments for most people that are vegetarian is that eating meat is not
necessary for human survival or for their health. Some vegetarians find that slaughtering
animals solely for the purpose of humans to eat meat is wrong and not justifiable. Most
vegetarians do not eat meat due to the practises involved in the production and
slaughtering of animals citing concerns about
An Illustration With A Charter On The Five Senses
For the lecture, I attended I went to Professor s Eric Palazzo talk on the five senses on
an illustration with a charter on it. The piece was from the middle ages and was
depicting a religious scene more specifically Christianity. In the lecture, Professor Eric
Palazzo explained the connections if any from the charter to the illustration. He also
takes a time to explain every detail of the Christian illustration from the curtain to the
people. In the lecture, he explains how in the charter it says things that don t match what
is drawn in the illustration, which is very uncommon to have a charter with an
illustration. The language of the charter I believe was in french which he explain the
meaning of. Me personally never heard of what a charter... Show more content on

Which was very confusing to me because at first seeing the image you don t think of
any of the five senses. The image looks like a typical painting from the middle ages
depicting religion. But as Professor Eric Palazzo went along explaining his reasoning it
all fit in place. The illustration shows what looks like a deacon or priest holding the
incense looking like he s waving across the table. But it is not the deacon but Christ. It
was very confusing to me at first to understand how the deacon was christ and why was
he incensing the table. He explained that the deacon using the incense he become Christ
and sees through smelling the incense connecting to the image above which is not two
separate image but one, the image above being Jesus. The men watching the deacon is
like them seeing Christ there the incest. Also, the image of the bells represented the
hearing sense. People hearing the harmony of the church. The other two senses are very
simple to explain in the painting the taste sense can be explained by the wine in the
painting. The last sense being touch is everywhere in the painting. Like the vision above
you can touch it
Conflict Management Paper
Every company, including police agencies can have conflicts that need to be
addressed by the leaders of the organization. A number of conflicts begin as something
very miniscule and grow over time to destroy the motivation and confidence of a law
enforcement agency before it is even able to be addressed. Some conflicts are not even
made aware to the leadership positions until it has grown out of control and has the
employees worked up, and demanding to what is happening. Several leaders have fears
regarding conflict, rather than seeing it as a potential way to create changes to a policy
that is not working in the current environment. Managing conflict is an element of being
a strong leader in an organization and helps inspire the employees to be more productive
and engaged in their jobs. As a leader, they have to be engaged in all aspects of their
organization and at a minimum, have basic conflict managementskills. Once the
organization puts together individuals with values, needs, and interests that are the same
or truly completely different, an issue can and most likely will arise due to basic human
nature. A strong management team then must be able to work together and fix the
problem while not losing anything in production.... Show more content on
