Persuasive Essay Outline

Writing a persuasive essay outline can be a challenging task, requiring careful consideration of
various elements to ensure a coherent and compelling argument. Crafting an effective outline
involves not only organizing your thoughts but also strategically planning the structure of your essay
to persuade the reader. Here are some aspects that make this process difficult:

1. Thesis Statement: Developing a strong and clear thesis statement that encapsulates the main
argument can be challenging. The thesis serves as the backbone of the essay, guiding the
writer and reader through the persuasive journey.
2. Research: A persuasive essay requires solid evidence and supporting details to strengthen the
argument. Conducting thorough research to find credible sources and relevant information
demands time and effort.
3. Counterarguments: Anticipating opposing viewpoints and addressing them in a persuasive
manner is crucial. Balancing your own argument while acknowledging counterarguments
requires careful consideration and a deep understanding of the topic.
4. Organization: Structuring the essay in a logical and coherent manner is essential for
persuasive writing. Ensuring that each point flows seamlessly into the next and building a
compelling narrative can be challenging.
5. Language and Style: Persuasive essays demand a persuasive writing style. Choosing the
right words, employing rhetorical devices, and maintaining a tone that resonates with the
target audience are key components that require skill and finesse.
6. Transitions: Crafting smooth transitions between paragraphs and ideas is vital. Ensuring that
the essay progresses logically and maintains the reader's engagement is a challenge that
writers often face.
7. Revision and Editing: Revising and editing are integral to refining the persuasive essay.
Identifying areas for improvement, checking for coherence, and polishing the language
demand a keen eye for detail.

Despite these challenges, the process of creating a persuasive essay outline is an opportunity for
personal and intellectual growth. It encourages critical thinking, research skills, and effective
communication – all of which are valuable in various aspects of life.

An Inside Look at Superconducting Qubits Essay
Superconducting Qubits

Introduction and Background

The quantum computation has remarkably improved since the use of quan tum
algorithms that have a run time which is exponentially faster compared to classical
algorithms. Implementation of theory for practical computation presents various
technological and scientific challenges. It is required that the Qubits be entirely free
from external noise while at the same time they need to be strongly coupled amongst
themselves using gates for computa tion. We need to construct the qubits such that their
degrees of freedom are independent of the noise in the environment. For example
electronic spins or spins of nuclei are isolated from surrounding noise. In superconduct

These are termed as macroscopic quantum coherence effects.

Superconductivity
On lowering the temperature of some metals (materials) to a scale of few kelvins the
electrons experience a net attractive force amongst themselves.
This is attraction is phonon mediated. As a result of bonding between two electrons near
the Fermi level the net energy decreases. The pair has a spin zero .The pairing process
changes the Fermi level and further formation of pairs takes place which can all occupy
the ground state(zero spin state not affected by Paulis exclusion principle). The entire
resistance less flow of cooper paired electrons is called as supercurrent . The
superconducting state is lower in energy from the normal material state by an amount of
energy called the superconducting energy gap. ψ = n0.5 eiθ s Where ns cooper pair
density, θ is the superconducting phase.
1.2
Josephson effect
A junction formed by placing two superconducting chips with a thin insula tor in between
is called Josephson junction tunnel. We see that at sufficiently low temperatures such
that thermal energy cannot break the cooper pairs, these pairs tunnel from one
superconducting electrode to another, even in the absence of biasing voltage.

The Caste System Of India
The Caste System
As children grow up in the United States, they are often told they can do whatever they
want when they are an adult. They are often told to reach for the stars and to chase their
dreams. In India however, this was not the case. India followed what is known as a caste
system. A caste system does not allow young children the fantasy of becoming whoever
they want to become, but instead their future is born when they are. The word caste was
first coined by Portuguese traders in the 16th century and translates to race. The original
caste system in India was developed more than 3,000 years ago and in some instances,
still continues today. (Funk Wagnalls 2016) It was created by Aryan priests who had
separated society into four different categories. At the top of the list was Brahmans
(priests), next were the Kshatriyas (warriors), then came the Vaisyas (farmers and
merchants), and lastly was the Sudras. The Sudras were composed of servants and
laborers who were to work for the other three castes. Even worse than being a Sudra
though, was being a member of the Harijans, commonly known as the Untouchables.
This group was composed of the Dravidians who were native to India and shunned for
religious or social sins from the other classes they originally came from. All formed by
the priests, this system of hierarchy was created and made part of the Hindu religious
law (Funk Wagnalls 2016). The creation of the caste system came with many laws. For

The Characters of Shrek and Lord Farquaad Essay
The Characters of Shrek and Lord Farquaad

In this essay I am going to analyse the characters of Shrek and Lord Farquaad. I will
also explore the different presentational devices used by the film creators of Shrek to
craft an unusual fairytale.

This film cost $6 million to produce. It is based on a traditional fairytale type story but
subverted.

The film was produced by Dreamworks Steven Spielberg s production company.

Dreamworks make animated films. It has a rival animation company in the form of
Disney. It was Disney who first brought out a long animated film which was Snow White
in the 1950 s.

The first computer generated animation was also brought out by Disney called Toy Story

We are astonished as the viewers as we were expecting a conventional fairytale. There is
a good use of toilet humour and it is aimed at children or teenagers. We know right from
the start that Shrek is a nice character as he has a comical impact on the film. The sort of
humour makes it different from normal, conventional fairytales and also the big, ugly
ogre would normally be a nasty creature but we know straight away that this is not the
case and he proves to be quite the contrary as the story unfolds.

At the beginning of the film Shrek tries to threaten the characters that he meets, but
Donkey, the mice, the storybook characters and Princess Fiona are not intimidated by
him or his appearance. He tries to make them frightened by reminding them that he s a
scary, horrible monster. Although Shrek is an ogre he is really nice deep down.

When the storybook characters arrive Shrek threatens to throw them all out of his swamp
and back where they came from. There is a close up shot of his mouth, this implicates
that Shrek is going to eat them or kill them and enhances the threat.

Shrek tries to frighten them by threatening them, by shouting at them and the close up
shot of his mouth develops the idea that Shrek is trying to be scary. The storybook
characters applaud Shrek. Shrek s angry
Essay On Achondroplastic Dysplasia
Achondroplasia is a disorder most commonly associated with its expression of dwarfism
in those affected by it. Also referred to as Achondroplastic Dwarfism and sometimes
abbreviated ACH, a common definition follows that it is a genetic disorder disturbing
the normal growth of cartilage. This disorder, which affects all populations and is
indifferent to gender, occurs when there is a mutation in one specific gene; the FGFR3
gene, on chromosomefour. This mutation typically occurs as a de novo gene alteration,
but is inherited as an autosomal dominant trait if passed on from a parent/parents.
Although a seemingly small difference, the genetic mutation associated with
Achondroplasia causes drastic differences in body appearance when compared to people
without this disorder, mainly concerning the abnormally short stature it is characterized
by (1). Additionally, individuals affected by this mutation face a lifetime of physical and
social challenges, as well as the possibility of dangerous medical conditions.

While the condition of extremely short stature is commonly called dwarfism, the term
skeletal dysplasia refers to over two hundred disorders associated with much shorter than
average height (5). Forms of skeletal dysplasia are ... Show more content on

If the disorder is inherited from biological parents, it does so as an autosomal dominant
trait, meaning a copy of the gene with the mutation is only needed from one parent in
order for the offspring to inherit and show the disorder (4). However, this scenario is
seen only in about twenty percent of the roughly two hundred and fifty thousand people
around the world living with Achondroplasia (6). The majority of cases (eighty percent)
are caused by a randomly occurring mutation in the FGFR3 gene, known as a de novo
gene alteration, which takes place for reasons scientists and medical professionals are
unaware of at this point in time

BEBE Seduction:
Relayed through Jib Fowles Fifteen basic appeals in Advertising
In the world we live in today advertising has all but consumed us as Americans. An
essay entitled Advertising s Fifteen Basic Appeals by Jib Fowles explains how
advertisements affect and influence us daily in society. He explains how marketers
through advertisements play on your needs, emotional feelings and sometimes desires
to draw consumer to their brands. Fowles discusses fifteen main appeals that marketers
use in ads and commercials in hopes we will purchase their product. In the October
issue of Glamour Magazine there s an ad promoting the brand BEBE. In this ad it has a
timeline of a woman getting ready to go out and enjoy her ... Show more content on

The fact that he s standing there that makes us pay closer attention to her. At the bottom
of this picture there s caption that catches your eye Nina in NYC. Where does the night
take you? . This question and the writing across the second going into third frame (9pm
to 5am: Obey all the rules, you miss all the fun) demands us to pay attention through an
open question and a rebellious overtone and essentially takes us to the last frame. In
accordance with Fowles s theory everything I ve mentioned grabbed our attention and
actually takes us to the next frame.
This last picture of the ad was introduced by a passage from the second to third frame
stating, 9pm to 5am: Obey all the rules, you miss all the fun . This in words is the
essence of the ad letting you know that the pictures are a timeline, and it also says to
live a little without being direct. Here the woman is on her knees in the middle of the
bed. By centering the woman in the bed looking in what we perceive is the morning light
we have no choice but to give this attention. Fowles says advertisers will exhibit the
models, in their beauty and here we have a beautiful woman in the morning light sun
ray making her face glow. Behind the woman in the bed very inconspicuous like is her
date also basking in the morning sun. In like all the frames her eyes never meet the
camera which makes you pay attention to her. This action alone draws you in. This was all
My First Research Experience Involved Ecological Work At...
My first research experience involved ecological work at the San Miguel Biological
Station in Costa Rica. During the summer of 2013, I did extensive field research in and
near the Cabo Blanco Absolute reserve focusing on forest succession within the scope of
the unique continuous conservation efforts of the national government. A total of thirty
(0.02 hectare) forest inventory plots were laid out. Species composition and population
structure of tree species were characterized representing 28 year old and 50 year old
successional forests, and small areas of primary forest. The researchshowed that
longevity of growth and area use were determining factors in the species that occurred.
When an area had been undisturbed and allowed to grow for a longer period, there was
more speciation resembling primary forest. Suggesting for the areas studied, that if left
undisturbed long enough, an area s speciation will resemble primary forest. However,
secondary growth in these areas is not expected to immediately resemble the population
structure of tree species as a consequence of time in undisturbed growth. I showcased this
project in a poster presentation at the SDSU Student Research Symposium March 2014.
Currently, I work in Dr. Andrew L. Cooksy s physical chemistry laboratory at SDSU. I
conduct research on organometallic catalysts using computational methods and physical
chemistry theory. I carry out electronic structure calculations in an effort to reproduce the
observed effects
