Physical Journey Essay
Embarking on the task of writing an essay on the theme of a "Physical Journey" is undeniably a
challenging endeavor. The difficulty lies not only in crafting a coherent and engaging narrative but
also in capturing the essence of the journey itself. One must navigate the complexities of recounting
personal experiences, weaving them into a compelling story that resonates with readers.
The initial challenge surfaces as you attempt to select and structure the myriad of experiences that
constitute your physical journey. Balancing the chronological order with thematic coherence demands
careful consideration and thoughtful planning. Moreover, delving into the intricacies of the journey
requires introspection and a willingness to revisit both triumphs and tribulations.
As you grapple with the task of conveying the sensory aspects of the journey, the written word
becomes both an ally and a foe. Describing the sights, sounds, and sensations encountered during the
physical journey demands a mastery of language that can be elusive. Striking the right balance
between vivid detail and concise expression is a constant tightrope walk, requiring a nuanced
approach to language.
Furthermore, connecting the personal journey to broader themes or universal experiences adds an
additional layer of complexity. The essay should not merely be a chronicle of events but a reflection
on personal growth, societal influences, or philosophical insights gained along the way. Navigating
this intersection of the personal and the universal requires a keen awareness of the essay's
overarching purpose.

Self Obsession In Human Nature
Human nature is inherently dominated by our number one instinct: survival. This
predisposition governs our lives on a daily basis, it also breeds our nature for personal
gain wan personal safety above all else. James Patterson created a cartoon which
depicts the theme of human self obsession by showing a line of children going up the
steps of a tubular slide. At the bottom of the slide, the rear end of a large reptile is
sticking out of the slide. The children at the top of the slide seem to be screaming from
fear, further down the line some children are wide eyed, and the ones at the bottom are
complacent with their eyes closed. Those on the bottom look as if they do not care
about what is happening to those on the top, and those on the top fail to warn those on
the bottom. This picture does not make sense, logically the children should combine
their forces and escape safely. There is enough room for the ones on the bottom of the
steps to simply back away and allow the rest of the children to leave. However, this
cartoon is not as funny when one realizes that it is not a joke but actually a sad truth in
human nature. There is an imminent threat at the bottom of that slide, so why is no one
smart enough to look up at those around him or her? The children at the bottom have
their eyes closed, head down, and possibly their ears shut. A surefire way for failure and
disappointment. Those at the bottom of the slide are lower and they want to get higher.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Deafness
There are many disabilities that occur among people, and one of the most common
disabilities is deafness. When I was ten months old, I was diagnosed with Conexin 26
which is a genetic diagnosis of profound bi lateral deafness, and I have had many
obstacles throughout my life relating to it. However, deafness continues to make me
the person I am today, and I am stronger because of that reason. My mom realized that I
could not respond to any of her sounds when I was a baby, so she took me to the
doctors to figure out what was wrong with me. When the doctors discovered that I was
deaf, they told my mom, and she was worried that I would have a hard time in my life
due to my disability. After failed attempts to hear with hearingaids, at fifteen months old I
had surgery on the right side of the head to get a cochlear implant, which are complex
electronic devices implanted in the cochleah that help provide sounds to the brain by
bi passing the ear drum. After this, my parents enrolled me in a deaf school in St.
Louis, and I began to learn how to talk and communicate with others using my new
hearing device. The school did not want to teach their students sign language or lip
reading; instead, it wanted to teach basic social skills, so the kids can have less
difficulty in social settings, and the students can relate to hearing people. This was
difficult for me since I began to talk at three years old, but the school helped me in so
many ways to be the person I am today and taught me how to express myself in words.
However, I could not rely on that school forever. I had to move to Ohio when I was six
years old, and I learned that I was enrolled in a public school. I was excited to finally
go to a school with more students who are normal hearing people and for once be like
everyone else. What I did not realize was that I would be surrounded by hearing
people, and they would not relate to me like people did at my previous school.
Although I thought that would be the case, many people did not care that I was deaf
due to the fact that we were too young, and I became relieved that they were accepting
of who I was. As years went on, I had many friends, and they were there for me despite
my deafness, and I was thankful
Ted Cruz Essay
On the issues, Ted Cruz holds many unique positions, often stirring controversy amongst
Democrats and fellow Republicans alike. Ted Cruz identifies strongly with the Tea Party
Movement, leaning to the far right on many social, domestic and international issues. He
particularly emphasizes his bold stances on issues like fighting ISIS, reducing taxes, and
lifting regulations on business. However, one area that Cruz is especially passionate
about is the many social issues that are debated by American citizens. On gay marriage,
Cruz has maintained that he as a believer in traditional marriage between a man and a
woman. He sponsored and passed a bill in the United StatesSenate to leave the decision
of marriage to individual state legislatures.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, he plans to triple the number of border patrol agents and increase aerial
surveillance. Due to the rapid advancement of technology, Cruz plans to also provide
the border patrol with state of the art technology involving new cameras, sensors, and
monitors. Another solution proposed by Cruz is implementing a biometric tracking
system at the nation s ports of entry. Cruz believes that In the first 100 days of a Cruz
Administration, those who have broken the law will be held accountable, regulations
that stand in the way of finishing the system will be eliminated, and the Department of
Homeland Security (DHS) will complete implementation by the end of [his] first year
in office, ( Cruz Immigration Plan ). He plans to hold the DHS more accountable in
general by reevaluating the staff and by working more closely together with the states to
help enforce immigration laws locally. His second idea is to restore the rule of law
Summary Of The Awake System
This article emphasizes the understanding how the awake system functioning in the
brain could be causing a disruption in a person s sleep cycle. According to the article,
insomnia is caused when a person s sleep and awake systems signals become
indifferent from each other. For instance, the article indicates that a person s brain
carries two different types of systems. One which is the sleep system that sends signals
that eventually helps you fall asleep and stay asleep. Two you have the awake system
where it sends out signals that put your brain into a more active state causing you to be
awake. As a result, if these awake signals do not slow down at night it causes you to stay
awake provoking insomnia. On the other hand, the article also... Show more content on

The article failed to explain that the epithalamus is a region within the diencephalon.
Which location is superior/posterior to the thalamus. The epithalamus consists of several
structures which include the pineal gland and secretes melatonin. For instance, the
article should have included that the secretes melatonin influences sleep/wake cycles.
Why? Because this where the inhibiting activity of each cycle happens. Another
example the article claims that if awake signals do not slow down at night you will
stay awake. Arguably according to the journal of psychiatry and neuroscience (1994),
staying awake or being in a sleeping state depends on the inhibit activity each area is
promoting not necessarily be the slowdown of signals . For example is the alerting areas
of the brain are most active at the time being, they will inhibit activity another area of the
brain which has the function for promoting sleep then that inhibition of sleep
neurotransmitters will result in a stable wakefulness state. For this reason, I believe this
article contains misleading information as it claims to rely on a strong scientific base. It
is important to relate with simple terms but educates with
The Engineering And Technology Field
The engineering/technology field encompasses a plethora of individual specializations.
In this world of abounding technology and bustling development, one area of engineering
remains almost entirely research based: Aerospace Engineering. A perfect combination of
physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering, and technology; it presents a new outlook
towards the common engineer. Who hasn t wondered what really lies beyond our
atmosphere? Aerospace engineering provides humanity with the only conceptualization
of the universe. One who studies the universe must possess a hybrid thought process
composed of innovation paired with application. Limits are only imposed by the designer
s own desire and motivation to discover phenomena. An endless... Show more content on

In no other specialization could I exercise both my presentation and persuasive talents
within the context of an engineering profession. With all things considered, aerospace
engineering is the key to my future. It is symbolic for all that comprises who I am. The
concepts that make up the field coincide with my personal values and aspirations for
humanity. As Henry G. Stott stated ever so eloquently over a century ago, Engineering is
the art of organizing and directing men and controlling the forces and materials of nature
for the benefit of the human race. I am proud to say that my life is to be dedicated to the
exploration of the unknown for the benefit of all whom we encounter. Science is a
animal that extends to develop at a much higher rate than the beings that provided it birth.
The transformation time from tree shrew, to ape, to human far exceeds the time from an
analytical motor, to a calculator, to a computer. However, research, in the past, has
habitually stayed distant. It has permitted for improvement in output, transport, and even
amusement, but not ever in annals has research be adept to so profoundly sway our
inhabits as genetic technology will undoubtedly do. With the birth of this new expertise,
technical extremists and anti technologists have increased in arms to impede its budding
future. Spreading worry by misinterpretation of details, they encourage their concealed
agendas in the auditoriums of the United States congress. They
Britannia Mines Research Paper
The Britannia Mines has played such a major role in the building blocks of British
Columbia s economic development and early history. Behind the unforgotten community
that once flourished with 60,000 miners of different races and religions, lies a rich
history that captures the hearts of many who pass by one of the most successful copper
sites of its time. With that being said, the legend behind the discovery of affluent
minerals in Britannia Mines is by a doctor who was searching for gold in the year, 1888.
After many failed attempts to set up a mining industry, the Britannia Mine and Smelting
Company Ltd. took interest in this discovery and developed operation systems and
communities. The Britannia Mines in the 1920s became such a successful
