FITTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR WALL AND CEILING LIGHTS

VERY IMPORTANT - This luminaire must be installed in accordance with British Standard 7671 : the
requirements for electrical installations. (IEE wiring regulations).

THIS LUMINAIRE MUST BE EARTHED


IF YOU ARE IN ANY DOUBT ABOUT THIS INSTALLATION PLEASE CONSULT A COMPETENT ELECTRICIAN

The electricity supply must always be isolated at it’s source (fuse box) before attempting installation or maintenance.
The luminaire must be fitted with bulbs which do not exceed the maximum stated wattage.

CEI LI NG LI GHTS
IMPORTANT - YOUR LIGHT FITTING IS SUPPLIED WITH GENERAL
PURPOSE FIXINGS SUITABLE FOR FITTING TO A SOUND SURFACE. YOU
MAY FIND THAT THERE ARE SOME SITUATIONS THAT REQUIRE MORE
SPECIALIST FIXINGS. IF YOU ARE IN ANY DOUBT WE ADVISE YOU TO
SEEK PROFESSIONAL ADVICE. PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE POSITION
CHOSEN FOR THE CEILING LIGHT IS BENEATH A JOIST OR BATTEN
SUITABLE TO SUPPORT THE WEIGHT OF THE LIGHT FITTING.

 Mark the drilling position on the ceiling to correspond with the


fixing holes on your light fitting and drill holes taking care not to
damage the electrical supply cables.
 Carefully secure the light to the ceiling using the screws
provided and taking care not to trap any wires.
 Where appropriate adjust the height of the chain as required.
 Make electrical connections as shown in the diagram opposite.
 If your luminaire is not at the end of a wiring spur then there
will be an extra pair of wires together (loop wires) in the supply
wiring which could be coloured black or red. These should be
connected together using a fourth approved terminal block (not
supplied). If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.

WALL LI GHTS
 These wall lights are only suitable for use with flush wiring.
 The design of the wall light requires that the connections are
housed within a suitable flush mounted box.
 Mark the drilling position on your wall to correspond with the
fixing holes on your light fitting.
 Drill holes taking care not to damage the electrical supply cables.
 Make electrical connections as shown in the diagram opposite.
 Carefully secure the wall light to the wall using the screws
provided and taking care not to trap any wires.
