Why this?
Welcome to PassAMCQ!
This study companion is created to guide your preparation for the Australian Medical Council
(AMC) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) Examination. The information provided is free and is
done strictly according to the AMC MCQ Exam guidelines as possible. However, this is by no
means an official document affiliated with the Australian Medical Council.
Why?
We reckon it is crucial for candidates embarking on their study journeys to know what they are
up against. This companion shows the approximate breakdowns and allocations of questions
by specialities, including the commonly tested topics and the examination syllabus so that you
can study around and become familiar with them before writing the exam. However, it is by no
means exhaustive and all-inclusive.
Before commencing your study, we recommend looking at the extent of the syllabus and
identifying areas where you need to focus your efforts. It is also good to allocate timeframes
for each topic to ensure you have sufficient time to cover them all.
It is also highly recommended to go through the official AMC MCQ Examination Specifications
to understand the exam structure and the list of recommended readings.
The question bank has been built with candidates’ learning experience in mind. Therefore,
before commencing your practice, we suggest taking up the ‘Free Trial MCQs’ consisting of 30
questions to have a rough gauge of the standard of the questions expected in the exam.
Subsequently, you should spend a reasonable amount of study time completing all the
questions in the ‘AMC MCQ’ section.
There are two trial exams – ‘Mock Exam 1’ & ‘Mock Exam 2’, both timed 150 questions mock
papers simulating the actual exam. We, therefore, recommend that you attempt them after
completing your study or when it is closer to your exam dates.
If you have any comments or questions, please reach out to us at support@passamcq.com.
We hope you find this helpful, and best of luck!
