Ties
for
the
top
In
the
pictures
I
have
demonstrated
with
elastic
ribbons,
but
the
crochet
strings
are
tied
the
same
way.
I
always
use
elastic
ties,
because
it
makes
the
crochet
Tops
so
much
more
comfortable
to
wear,
but
you
can
choose!
J.
Elastic
Ties
for
the
top:
Cut
2
ribbons
length
approximately
1.8m/70”
(width
around
1-‐1.5cm
or
as
you
prefer).
Pull/stretch
the
ribbon
and
it
goes
as
a
tube
(pictures
A-‐C).
Take
the
midpoint
of
the
ribbon
and
pull
a
loop
through
the
ch
space
of
the
peak
(picture
D).
Then
draw
the
ends
through
the
loop
and
tighten
(pictures
E,F).
Add
some
beads
if
you
want.
Then
take
the
ends
and
draw
through
the
side
loops
of
opposite
side,
so
that
the
ties
cross
each
other
on
the
back
(picture
G).
You
can
still
draw
through
loops
below
if
you
want
extra
support
(picture
H).
Crochet
Ties
for
the
top:
If
you
made
the
ties
with
crochet
earlier,
adjust
those
as
the
elastic
ones
(pictures
D-‐H).
Add
some
beads.
