PART 1: Preliminary Pages

• Consider using definitions from policies and guidelines on DRR-CCA in the
Philippines and international organizations.

PART 2: Methodology and findings

-Introduction

• 1-2 pages
• Provide an overview of risk profile and exposure to hazards of the city. This
should also serve as the rationale for the conduct of CDRA.

-Brief Profile of City/Municipality

• 5-10 pages, as necessary


• This section should be an abridged version of Section 1 of Volume 1 of CLUP
• It includes brief history, demographic profile, geographic location, territorial
jurisdiction and Barangay subdivision, and other key information about the
City/Municipality

-Methodology
• 5-10 pages, as necessary
• Explain CDRA as a methodology
• Elaborate on building exposure database, and assessment of vulnerability and
risk.
• Describe the operational framework of the CDRA process i.e. activities and
workshops conducted before, during and after CDRA.
• Provide scope and limitation of CDRA (e.g. volcanic hazards not included)

-Results of 5-Step CDRA

Step 1: Climate Change and hazard information

• 10-15 pages, as necessary


• Print maps on A3 size paper
• Produce maps and tables from the following sections
o Local climate change projections
o Historical disaster damage and loss data
o Inventory of hazard maps
o Barangay-level hazard inventory matrix

Step 2: Potential impacts of climate change and hazards

• 10-15 pages, as necessary


• Print maps on A3 size paper
• Produce maps and tables from the following sections
o Climate stimuli and hazard mapping
o Impact chain analysis
o Summary of potential impacts of climate stimuli and hazards on exposed units

Step 3: Exposure database

• 50-60 pages, as necessary


• Print maps and table on A3 size paper
• Produce maps and tables from the following sections
o Population Exposure Unit
o Urban Use Exposure Units
o Natural Resource based Production Areas Exposure Units
o Critical Point Facilities Exposure Units
o Lifeline Utilities

Step 4: Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment

• 10-15 pages, as necessary


• Summarize the key results of assessment into maps and tables
• Explain maps and tables and identify highly risk areas
Step 5 Summarize findings

• 5-10 pages, as necessary


• Summarize the MDAs into tables
• Produce maps that show the location of MDAs including their characteristics
