ENRICH/ EXPERIENCE ACTIVITY (SEL Integration)

BUILD ME UP
OBJECTIVES:
Identify what is heat and temperature.

MATERIALS:
Printed pictures, scotch tape, ballpen, paper

PROCEDURES:
1.Class will be divided into (3) groups.
2.Check the envelope at the table.
3.Arrange the picture to form an image. Analyze the picture so that you’ll be able to answer the guide
question below.
4. Your group have 5 minutes to finish the activity.

Guide Questions:
1.What is heat?
2.What is the difference between heat and temperature?
3.What do you think is the direction or flow of the heat energy?
ELEVATE/e-LEARNING Discussion
(Discussing new concepts and  Each group will share their observation on the activity they conducted.
practicing new skills #1)  Facilitate the class discussion and Power point will be presented.

EXPAND (Finding practical 3 Types of Heat Transfer

applications of concepts and
skills in daily living)

EXPERIENCE (Making TRUE OR FALSE

generalizations and abstractions Direction: Give me a thumbs UP is the statement is TRUE and thumbs DOWN if the statement is FALSE
about the lesson)
1.Heat is a thermal energy that transfer from one place to another.
2. Heat transfer from cold to hot
3.Heat and temperature are related to each other and they are the same.
4.When we increase the heat the temperature will also increase.
5. We use thermometer in measuring the temperature.
EVALUATE/ E- LEARNING COMPARE AND CONTRAST
(Evaluating learning) Direction: With the use of graphic organizer, compare and contrast heat from temperature using a Venn
Diagram.

EMPLOY(Additional activities HOMEWORK: LITERACY INTEGRATION

for application or remediation  On a one whole sheet of paper, state the importance of heat transfer in everyday life and its
impact to all living things.
