occupational environment. If, however the orientation is one of the indecision, the livelihood of

satisfaction deminishes.

This study is about the factors affecting the track preference of Grade 10 students in

Guinayangan National High School. The study made use of simple random sampling technique

where we will be given every individual an equal chance to be chosen as our respondents and a

standardize questions to gather specific information/ data that we were looking for to gather in

this study. The population of respondents for the study was the students in Grade 10 students

who will be the next Senior high in Guinayangan National high school. The data for the study

was collected by the standardize questionnaire made by the researcher.

INTRODUCTION

Career selection is one of the most important choices that students will make in

THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

This theory is found to be appropriate because of it’s stressfulness in terms of developing

a career plan that will guide the individual in choosing a career in college. Also, super’s six

dimension is appropriate for adolescents is truly applicable because senior high school students

are fall under this category another theory adopted for the Research is David Tiedemann’s 5 self

development approach to career.

Tiedemann (2004) stressed out why individual change their courses of action because of external

factors (such as the call of the armed forces, an economic crisis, the works setting itself) or by

broad psychological drives ( such as unmet needs, changing aspirations, rule diffusion ).

According to the prescribed sequence, a new decision unfolds and must be made, bedinning with

exploration and eventually reaching integration. If integration is not reach once again, the

individual may adopt to a career environment or may simply withdrawn and begin a new search

for eventual integration.

LITERATURE REVIEW

Career preference is the process of decision making. A great number of studies,

researches, and writes up had been conducted for a period of time and still emerged as one of the

top priority researches due to rapid changing and need of time. This chapter is the presentation of

literature and studies from foreign to local which may directly or indirectly bearing to study at

hand. Relevance to present studies will give a big feature why these literature and studies from

foreign to local are used.

According to Howard and III7 stressed out that whenever students are in their high school

experience, they are center of learning. In a traditional high school, The center of the system is

the content or subject, not students learning. Howard and III7 present assistant to promote the

shift from traditional content or subject-centered high schools which is called as collaborative

career pathways- a system of organizing the student learning interest and aptitudes around career

paths. It provides a structured for students to reference their learning and comment each year of

their high school experience. It allows the students to plan and practice their skills while creating

a smooth and successful transition to a post of secondary option.

According to John Holland (2010) individuals are attracted to a given career by their particular

personalities and numerous vauiables that constitute their backgrounds. First of all career choice

is an expression of or an extension of personality into the world of work followed by subsequent

6
identification with specific occupational sterotypes. Accordingly, one chooses a career to satisfy

referred modal personal orientation. Modal personal orientation is a developmental process

establish through heredity and the individuals life history of reacting to environmental demands.

If the individual has developed a strong dominant orientation, satisfaction is probable in a

corresponding occupational environment. If, however the orientation is one of the indecision, the

livelihood of satisfaction deminishes.

gathered using the validated researcher made questionnaire which will be given to the randomly

chosen respondents.

SAMPLING

A sample of this Research will utilized simple random sampling technique. This

technique is used for able the population to be selected fairly and all the individual are all given a

chance to become our respondents.

The researchers use a produced standardize questionnaire to gather information/ data. We

will conduct an information to know the factors affecting Track preference of Grade 10 students

in Guinayangan National High School.

the track preference of students in Grade 10 of senior High. Simple random sampling technique

will be used to select a respondents where we will be given an equal chance to every individual

to participate in this research study. We will utilize a Descriptive Research Design for able the
