Thein Dam
● It is one of the major river valley projects of India.
● It is built on the Ravi river in Pathankot district of Punjab.
● It is also known as 'Ranjit Sagar Dam'.
● The construction of Thein Dam started in 1982 and it was

Tehri Dam
● Tehri Dam is the highest dam in India (It is almost 260.5 meters
high and is 592 meters long).
