CONJUNCTIONS
Objectives:
1. Identify the conjunctions used in the sentences.
2. Write sentences using conjunctions.

Ex. She wants to dance but her parents don’t want her to join.
2. Subordinating Conjunctions
These connect clauses of unequal rank. These conjunctions join a
dependent clause to an independent clause.
Ex. When you have a bad cold, you rest and sleep.
3. Correlative Conjunctions
These connect similar words or group of words. They work in pairs.
either…or neither…nor whether…or
not only…but also both…and
Ex. a. Neither the blue shirt nor the white one fits the occasion.
b. This story is not only a movie material but also a contest piece.
