Digital transformation is the use of technology to change existing business processes
or create new businesses. Digital transformation creates fundamental changes to
business operations and how a company can provide value to its customers. Digital
transformation is a change that utilizes digital technology to redesign traditional
processes so that they can become more efficient and effective.
Digital transformation can cover many technologies and will continue to evolve over
time. However, currently, the technologies that are most in demand in this field are
cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence.
Referring to the MIT Sloan Management Review, there are three main areas for digital
transformation for enterprises, namely: Customer experience, Operational process
and Business models.
According to IDG (International Data Group) the main drivers or drivers of digital
transformation are security enhancements, customer acquisition and retention, and
cost control.
And Benefits of Digital Transformation are: Improve mobility, Make data more secure,
Boost productivity, Provide better UX, and Increase competitiveness in the industry.
