Assignment:

Provide at least 5 wines that will detail the following:

Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage Year

- With proper wine storage, Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon has

been known to maintain its grace and elegance in 750ml
bottle for about 30 years. Though our winemakers prefer to
drink Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon 7-10 years after the vintage
date, we continue to receive emails from customers who are
still enjoying bottles from the late-1970s and 1980s.

Origin

- France

Characteristics

- Cabernet Sauvignon always has strong tannin, full body, dark color, and that same black currant
fruit. When grown and made well, Cabernet Sauvignon can age for decades, taking on layers of
pencil shavings, graphite, cedar, tobacco, leather, and comforting baking spices.

Syrah

Vintage Year

- Syrah also known as Shiraz, is a dark-skinned grape variety

grown throughout the world and used primarily to produce
red wine. In 1999, Syrah was found to be the offspring of two
obscure grapes from southeastern France, Dureza and
Mondeuse Blanche.[1] Syrah should not be confused with
Petite Sirah, a cross of Syrah with Peloursin dating from 1880.

Origin

- France

Characteristics

- Syrah is typically bold and full-bodied, with aromatic notes of smoke, black fruit and pepper
spice. Stylistically, it can be round and fruity, or dense and tannic. And in warmer New World
regions like Australia, Syrah might be called Shiraz. Whatever the name, Syrah/Shiraz offers a
style for everyone.
Zinfandel

Vintage Year

- Those wines ranged from 3-7 years old. That's why I

decided to open a 10-year-old bottle of Zin to compare to
some younger Zins of various ages around the same price
point. The Zins also differ in style to a certain degree. As
with most wines, Zinfandel wines are meant to be drunk
young.

Origin

- Croatia

Characteristics

- The late-ripening red Zinfandel wine produces a jammy flavor bursting with fruity aromas of
blackberry, cherry, plums, black pepper, and cinnamon with varying levels of oak. A fuller bodied
wine that is high in alcohol content, Zinfandel is known for its fruity meets spicy kick with a
smoky body.

Pinot Noir

Vintage Year

- t took a hot vintage to do it, but 1997 has confirmed to

anyone harbouring any doubt that Australia can make decent
pinot noir across a range of wine regions.

Origin

- Burgundy France

Characteristics

- Pinot noir is pale to medium in colour and is high in acidity

with fine, soft tannins. Its red fruit flavours include strawberry, cherry, raspberry, cranberry and
plum and the freshness will depend on the ripeness of the grape. Pinot noir can also have an
earthy palate.

Chardonnay

Vintage Year
- 95-100, classic; 90-94, outstanding; 85-89, very good; 80-84, good; 75-79, mediocre; 50-74, A
score range indicates preliminary analysis based on barrel samples and/or a limited sampling;
many wines of the vintage not yet reviewed.

Origin

- Burgundy France

Characteristics

- Chardonnay is dry, medium- to full-bodied with moderate tannins and acidity. It typically has
tropical fruit flavors (think pineapple, papaya, and mango) although it's not sweet. If
Chardonnay is aged in oak barrels, it will have a creamier texture and buttery taste with hints of
vanilla and spice.
