BUSINESS PROFILE

People nowadays are too busy in their work. Papers and files were cluttered in

their tables. And these tons of files sometime create a negative mood to the employee or a

negative judgment by other co-workers. These cluttered things can also bring up stress

when the person is looking for something but cannot find it right away because of

disorganized things.

Organizo is a small shop of handmade office organizers located at Lolo Berong’s

Building in Nueno Avenue, City of Imus, Cavite. The shop will craft organizer of files in

different sizes, box organizers, drawer organizers, pen holders and other personalized

organizer. The customer can choose the number of divider and design from the shop’s

catalogue or can bring their own design of organizer. The customer can also bring their

own raw materials, whether recycled or unused and pay only for the labor cost.

The shop is open from Mondays to Saturdays from 10:00AM until 6:00PM. The

shop will be close during Sundays.

Organizo is a Latin action word (verb) which means “organized”.

handmade personalized office organizer that will satisfy, organize, resolve and the needs

of the customer.

OUR STORY

The idea of making handmade and personalized organizers started when the owner is

still a student. He needed an organizer to sort out his things. He thinks of buying in a

bookstore but aware that his allowance is not enough to buy one. He decided to

improvised a self-made organizer out of used box and the output is impressive. He then

learned the importance of organizing and develops passion in sorting things.

His classmates and teachers like his personalized organizer and requested him to

make one for them. Some of them bring their own materials and help him in assembling

the organizer and others paid him to have one. He realized that he could make money out

of handmade organizer and plan to put up a business.

He was able to start the business without much capital by just using recycled box,

used glues, colored paper and acrylic paint. He attended seminars about do-it-yourself

crafts to improve his designs. At first, he made his orders at home but later on, when the

orders are getting bigger, he decided to rent a space and put up his shop which he called

Organizo. His parents help him out for the expenses in renovation and other start up

expenses. They allowed him to bring in their personal desktop and printer and other

unused furniture such as tables, chairs and cabinets to set up his shop without additional

overhead expenses. Organizo launched on August 2017.

Management Profile

Erryl James Vargas plan to build the business when he was still a student after he

improvised his own things organizer. The business push through with the support and

help of his family. He improves his skills by attending trainings and seminars. When he

feels that he is ready to start, he began the business of handmade organizers. He makes

sure that the product he produces is of high quality but affordable.

As the owner of the business, he is the one in-charge in the monitoring of the

workflow. He continue attending seminars not only for the improvement of the product

but for the enhancement of his skills in handling a business, organization,

communication, in leadership, handling financial matters, and customer service.

A. INDUSTRY ANALYSIS

 The existing organizer products in the market can be found only in a popular

bookstore that sells school and office supplies.

 Organizers available in the market costs a bit higher and not everyone can afford

to buy it.

 The number of shops and stores for school supplies is getting bigger.

 People opted to make a Do-it-yourself organizer to save money.

B. MARKET DEMAND

There is no concrete study of how fast the demand for organizers will grow over the

years, but the following situation will indicate how necessary to have an organizer to save

time, effort and money.

 Working people nowadays tend to bring their work at home making them too

busy to clean their mess at home but adding more to it.

 Unorganized surrounding or working environment will make them spend long

hours to find something they own in the midst of the clutter making them buy a

new one or create another which is time-consuming.

 The K-12 curriculum requires more performance tasks and researches making the

students to have a tons of files, and school materials that needed proper

organization.

Organizo is located in a two-storey commercial building along Nueno Avenue, City of

Imus, Cavite. The store is at the heart of the city and near the main road which is very

convenient and easy to find by target customers. It’s population in 2016 is 301, 624.

. The store is a walking distance from nearby schools such as Imus Institute, Del Pilar

Academy, Our Lady of the Pillar, office establishments like the city hall and banks,

market and near the main road wherein public transportation from different barangays

always pass-by. There is also a nearby printing shop, making Organizo appears to be

helpful.
