Food is more than just sustenance; it is a language that speaks to our senses and brings people together.
Hello little Munchkins ! So what is in your lunch box? It must be something delicious. But I am wondering why we feel hungry? Our
body makes us feel hungry when we need food. Our body works all the time. It works when we play, eat, walk, breath or run. Some part
of our body keep working even when we are asleep like our heart. For doing all these works, our body requires a lot of energy. We get
energy from the food we eat.
We eat food to get energy to study, play and work, grow and keep ourselves fit and healthy.

Food contains a variety of nutrients. These nutrients are carbohydrates, Protein, Fat. Other nutrients are vitamin and minerals.
Carbohydrates , Protein , Fat are major nutrients while vitamins and minerals are needed in very small quantity but plays significant role .
The food that we eat does not give energy directly to our body .It gives energy after digestion. Digestion is a process in which the food is
broken down into simple and soluble substances that are absorbed by the body. Some organs are involved in it. These are Mouth Food
pipe, Stomach, liver Small intestine , Pancreas , large intestine and anus. Some food items are tasty but unhealthy too. We should always
eat healthy food. Food should be well cooked because cooking kills germs present in it.
