Past Perfect Simple or Past Perfect Continuous

Everyone told me the job would be difficult, but because I had been planning (plan) to work in a large company for a
long time, I decided not to listen to them. However, by the second week, I had discovered (discover) that my friends
were right. I had never worked (never/ work) so hard in my life! By the third week, I had started (start) to feel very
tired and I had not had (not/ have) chance to relax as I had been working (work) for 11 hours a day, every day –
including Sundays! When I first went for the interview, the manager had told (tell) me to expect to work very long
