and invites them for the recruitment drive. • The placement cell is approached
by the companies in response to the invitation and the details of the final
year students are shared as per the requirement of the companies and the dates
for placement drive are finalised with mutual convenience. • On the day of
placement drive, the necessary arrangements for the pre-placement talk, written
test, online test, Group Discussion and Interview are arranged at campus. •
After various short listing stages, the students are finally interviewed and
the list of shortlisted candidates is shared with the placement cell. Then

8.Future Plans of Actions for Next Academic Year


The institutional strategic Plan for the next academic year (2019-20) is
prepared by a series of discussions involving the various stake holders of the
institute. It starts with the collection of the feedback from various stake
holders and discussion at the college level involving the representatives of the
management, Principal, Deans, Head of the Departments. and faculty members. Many
brain storming sessions are conducted. STRATEGY 1:Expanding innovative teaching-
learning method like smart class rooms and campus wide availability of digital
course contents. Action 1: Revision of the Curriculum and Syllabi regularly with
focus towards the future industry requirements and industry suggested electives
Action 2: Improving the skill sets of the faculty by motivating them to
participate in more FDPs. Action 3: Developing the Digital class rooms and making
the course contents available in the digital form online. (18 Smart Class rooms
and 55 complete Course contents were prepared and made available online in
cloud). Action 4: To formulate a well established assessment procedure for the
students by including the GATE and competitive examination questions in the
Question Papers. (Already 20 of questions in the question paper are in this
pattern) GOAL 1: To convert all the conventional Class rooms into Digital Class
rooms and make the contents of all the courses in the digital form online by
2020-21 and to use effective latest ICT tools in teaching learning. GOAL 2: To
have all the students getting certified in NPTEL – SWAYAM, Coursera, Udacity
etc.. and appearing for the Competitive examinations like UPSC, IES etc.,
STRATEGY 2: By instituting seed money assistance for incubating projects and
innovative products through incubation centre. Action 1: To identify the faculty
having inclination for research in core domain and provide them with the seed
money for making a prototype or for proving a concept. Action 2: To create
necessary research facilities for carrying out the basic research and involve the
students also for basic research. GOAL 1: To improve the possibility of getting
more grants from government funding agencies with the basic concepts proven. GOAL
2: To inculcate the habit of innovation in the students and motivate them to
pursue their career in research. In view of the Institutions broad based action
plan for the long term as mentioned above, the programme centres are motivated to
prepare an Action Plan for every academic year independently. The plan ‘inter
alia’ would prepare attainable target based plan / goal under each metrics of
NAACs criterion, which shall be meticulously followed-up for successful
implementation and its proper documentation.
