KEYBOARD
Uses:
Keyboards are essential input devices for computers, enabling users to type,
input commands, and navigate through applications.
Advantages:
Keyboards offer efficient data entry, versatile functionality, customizable
shortcuts, and specialized commands for improved workflow and user
convenience.
Disadvantages:
Keyboards can lead to repetitive strain injuries, have a learning curve for
specialized layouts, be noisy (especially mechanical keyboards), and may not
be ideal for tasks requiring precise cursor control like graphic design and
gaming.
Concept keyboards
Definition:
Concept keyboards are compact input devices that require less space for
installation and offer customizable features.
Advantages:
Concept keyboards are compact, portable, easy to clean, and efficient for
word processing or data entry.
Disadvantages:
Concept keyboards may not support diagram creation, can get damaged easily
if not used properly, and might be slow compared to other input devices.
Numeric keyboards
Uses:
Numeric keyboards provide a dedicated set of number keys for numerical
input and calculations.
Advantages:
Numeric keyboards facilitate quick numerical input and calculations.
Disadvantages:
Numeric keyboards may not support alphanumeric input, can be less versatile
than full keyboards, and might not be suitable for tasks requiring extensive text
input.
MOUSE
Uses:
Mice are pointing devices used for cursor control, clicking, and navigating
through graphical interfaces.
Advantages:
Mice offer precise cursor control, ease of use, and are essential for graphic
design and gaming.
Disadvantages:
Mice may not be as efficient for text input as keyboards, can be less suitable
for certain tasks like word processing, and require a flat surface to operate
effectively.
TOUCHPAD
Uses:
Touchpads are built-in input devices on laptops for cursor control and
gesture-based interactions.
Advantages:
Touchpads are integrated into laptops, offer portability, and support multi-
touch gestures.
Disadvantages:
Touchpads may not provide the same precision as mice, can be challenging for
some users to use effectively, and may not be ideal for tasks requiring
extensive cursor movement.

TRACKERBALLS
Uses:
Trackerballs are alternative pointing devices that use a rolling ball for cursor
control.
Advantages:
Trackerballs offer precise cursor control, ergonomic benefits, and can be used
in limited spaces.
Disadvantages:
Trackerballs may have a learning curve for users accustomed to mice, can
accumulate dirt affecting performance, and may not be as widely supported in
software.
Remote Control
Uses:
Remote controls are handheld devices used to wirelessly operate electronic
devices like TVs, audio systems, and smart home devices.
Advantages:
Remote controls offer convenience, ease of use, and enable users to operate
devices from a distance.
Disadvantages:
Remote controls can be lost easily, require line-of-sight for operation, and may
have limited functionality compared to direct device interaction.
Joysticks
Uses:
Joysticks are input devices primarily used for gaming, flight simulation, and
controlling machinery.
Advantages:
Joysticks provide precise control in gaming and simulation applications, offer
immersive experiences, and are customizable for different games.
Disadvantages:
Joysticks may not be as versatile for general computer use, can have a learning
curve for new users, and may not be suitable for tasks requiring extensive text
input.
Driving Wheel
Uses:
Driving wheels are specialized input devices for racing games and driving
simulations.
Advantages:
Driving wheels offer realistic driving experiences, precise control in racing
games, and immersive gameplay.
Disadvantages:
Driving wheels may not be versatile for general computer use, require space
for setup, and can be expensive compared to other input devices.

TOUCH SCREEN
Uses:
Touch screens are interactive displays that allow users to input commands and
interact directly with on-screen elements.
Advantages:
Touch screens offer intuitive interactions, support multi-touch gestures, and
are common in smartphones, tablets, and interactive kiosks.
Disadvantages:
Touch screens may accumulate fingerprints affecting visibility, can be less
precise than other input methods, and may not be ideal for tasks requiring
extensive text input.
Scanners
Uses:
Scanners are devices used to convert physical documents, images, or objects
into digital formats.
Advantages:
Scanners enable digitization of physical content, support high-quality image
capture, and facilitate document archiving.
Disadvantages:
Scanners may require additional software for editing scanned content, can be
time-consuming for large volumes of documents, and may not capture certain
textures or materials effectively.
Digital Camera
Uses:
Digital cameras are devices for capturing and storing digital images and videos.
Advantages:
Digital cameras offer high-resolution image capture, instant viewing, and easy
sharing of photos and videos.
Disadvantages:
Digital cameras may require technical knowledge for optimal use, can be bulky
compared to smartphone cameras, and may have limitations in low-light
conditions.
Video Camera
Uses:
Video cameras are devices for recording moving images and sound.
Advantages:
Video cameras enable high-quality video recording, support various
resolutions and frame rates, and are essential for videography.
Disadvantages:
