However, while NC-ISC cannot perform rating prediction natively, and discards popularity in both
its learning and its ranking, it’s quite easy to put popularity back into the learning, and back into the

each movie popularity. Putting popularity back into the learning means decreasing the unbiasing
factor in NC-ISC. I LOVED the first one. I could seriously just watch that movie over and over
again until my eyes dry up. It’s one of the cutest movies that have ever been made. It’s geared toward
kids, but I don’t know a single adult that was bored watching it. This is an Argentinian movie. It's
about this guy who is an investigator for a lawyer. He loves her but he can't tell her. Many years
later, he comes back to write about an unsolved case and by now, she's become a judge. So it's their
love story but it's also an investigation. It's got a mind-blowing sequence in which a suspect is caught
at a football match. A list of five books recommended by Fran Lebowitz by New York writers,

Hudson, Jessica Barden Genre: Animation, Adventure, Comedy The major inaccuracy of the film is
that it portrays the hunt as driven by a single person. Aside from this misreading of how large
bureaucratic organizations work, the conceptual linkages, the fixation on the latest shiny object, and
the general risk aversion of senior management are all accurately portrayed. An anthology series
centering on different characters and locations, including a house with a murderous past, an insane

I enjoy all of Chaplin's work and have watched all of them repeatedly but this is the most relatable
and emotional. These are films that I like to revisit – if not the whole thing at least parts of it. They
are so perfect that I keep going back to see how they pulled off some things back then. Writer:
Douglas Cook, David Weisberg If the chemistry is there between the actors, this film could be
absolutely incredible. There are a FEW pitfalls that could hinder something like The Book of Love,
but the trailer makes it seem like none of those possibilities affected the filming or final product. Kids
may find the skeletal features of the characters in this terrific family cartoon a bit unsettling. But
Pixar's animators here make even the ghoulish settings of graveyards and Mexico's Day of the Dead

saw Creed twice in theaters: the first time with my close friend and fellow film buff, and the second
with my wife, mom, brother, and sister. My friend loves the film, my wife loves it (she cried about
four times), my mom loves it (her favorite film is Rocky), my brother really enjoyed it, and even my
sister—who’s very picky when it comes to stories—enjoyed it. I too love Creed—I had high
expectations for the film, and it somehow exceeded them. It’s a great sports film, a great way (if
they choose so) to end the Rocky series, gives an unexpectedly great performance from Sylvester
Stallone, a great follow-up in Coogler’s directing career, a great film in general, and one of 2015’s
best films." As a followup to my researches on documents and / or vocabulary characterizing, we are
preparing (some friends and myself) to launch a new recommendation service. Our first targets are
eCommerce sites that can greatly benefit some improvement over the products they show to the users
(whether it’s in the recommended items list or in the display order of a search query). Amazon

recommendations are not unanimously acclaimed). Now the question will be : why will my algorithm
be better than the others ? and why should you use it. It's our favourite Wong Kar-wai film. A lot of
people pick In the Mood For Love but the play with structure, the quirky playful touch and the song
'California Dreamin' kind of puts this ahead for us. Boy meets girl and girl falls into a coma.
Pakistani-American comedian Kumail (Kumail Nanjiani) gets heckled by a white girl, Emily (Zoe
Kazan), sitting in the audience of his stand-up show. They share great chemistry, fall in love but
eventually break up due to cross-cultural differences as Kumail is supposed to be match-made with a
Pakistani girl. Emily falls mysteriously into a coma and Kumail meets and bonds with her
contemporary-cool parents (Holly Hunter and Ray Romano) as they wait for her to wake up.
Original Resolution: 1280x780 In this movie, the documentary filmmaker follows “one of England’s
loudest bands” on their American tour. During this ill-fated journey, we learn the secret to their

on tour. It's the film I put on when I really feel like watching a nice romantic film. The way they

This was the first film with children at the centre that actually touched me. It was path-breaking for
India as well. Picked for a special recommendation at Venice Film Festival, it is a Marathi film from

What fascinates me, is how serious director George Miller took this simple plot. A convoy of tanks

Lob, Benjamin Legrand, Jean-Marc Rochette This movie is very special. It's about ordinary people
grappling in the shadow of an authoritarian state. It's a story of friendship and how an ordinary
person is trying to help her friend get an abortion. There is an iconic 9-minute single shot where the
camera stays on the protagonist when she is at her boyfriend's house. There is continuous banter at
the table and the whole while she is thinking about her friend. It is really a perfect film in terms of
its writing or direction or even performances. The film leaves you wanting more. The US religious

Stanley Kubrick’s finest films. Note the long shots both with the general walking in the trench and
the movement across no-man’s land. This is brilliant film making. The movie presents a great
commentary on the absurdity of industrial-age warfare and the slaughter produced by it. It also
provides excellent source material for ethical discussions. Most of the lines from the general officers

JENTSCH This movie starts off with a black woman who informs a middle-aged white woman that
she is her daughter. The film entails the emotional earthquake that follows this revelation. It seems as
though the actors are living through the scenes and that they are real-life breathing characters. They
seem to be unscripted, undirected and unacted. That movie did a lot of stuff inside me. This film
will always be my go-to film in terms of telling someone as to what cinema can do in terms of giving
you energy. It doesn't rely on stunts or action and emphasises that a camera can do so much in
creating chaos or madness. And to do all this with a fresh star cast shows you the ability and the
talent of the director. It has inspired many directors in many ways and will always remain a classic
for me. Here's my 10 movies of 2017; 1.Leap!, 2. Dunkirk, 3. Wonder Woman, 4. Wind River, 5.

different than what we’ve seen before in his roles. They’ve also got Ed Skrein (Game of Thrones,
The Transporter Refueled, Deadpool) in there somewhere – have you ever noticed how they
resemble each other a bit? The only downside I can see to this film is the motion sensations that will
come from first-person perspective. It’s not just a shaky-cam issue. People that get carsick or
experience vertigo easily should probably skip this one – or wait to watch it at home from a safe
environment where fast-forward or pause might be useful. If you’re one of those, or just aren’t sure
– please please don’t go see this in IMAX. The people that don’t want to get thrown up on thank you.

comedic (primarily in the black comedy sense) and delightfully entertaining. The film’s
cinematography is breathtaking (as it should be for a western), in addition to being artistically
creative with visual and sound effects. Acting wise, the film shines with Michael Fassbender sharing
the spotlight as Jay’s mysterious escort Silas Selleck. Smit-McPhee’s character works to
successfully contrast Slow West’s bleak themes, even when his role ends in brutal irony. The
remaining cast are intriguing, unique characters, though their time in the limelight is brief—mostly
because they’re dead after a few minutes of screen time. Slow West is an excellent western: more
gripping than the Coen Brothers’ True Grit remake, and better paced than Tarantino’s previous
western Django Unchained." What I would love to say about this ship and the dreams it carried is

Something is odd, though. Transformers: Age of Extinction is a mainstream movie. It’s incredibly
weird for it to not yet be rated, considering it comes out in as little as a month from now. I didn’t

There’s a quote in the publicity that the film is something he would be proud of. I just have to watch
it to find out for myself. "True to a Sherlock Holmes story, there are several intriguing mysteries
throughout the film, all which end up far more engaging than expected from Mr. Holmes’ low-key
setting. The film blends its mysteries with rich scenery, discreet humor, poignant reminiscence, and a
compelling performance from Sir Ian McKellen. For such a modest story of the great detective, Mr.
Holmes’ direction, passion, and lead actor’s remarkable performance makes it a compellingly
satisfying epilogue to the character of Sherlock Holmes." Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3D During

a brief stint in prison, transgender prostitute Sin-Dee (Katana Kiki Rodriguez) is reunited on
Christmas Eve with her best friend Alexander (Mya Taylor), who informs her that her fiance/pimp
has been cheating. Sin-Dee sets off, chops-a-blazing across LA, intent on bringing him to justice.
Into the mix comes taxi driver and regular customer, Razmik (Karan Karagulian) whose interfering
mother-in-law is intent on exposing his infidelities. Vividly shot, full of flavour and surprisingly
filmed on an iPhone 5s, the film shines a glorious light on the part of LA that Hollywood often keeps
tucked under. Full of sunny delight, vibrant energy and ferocious dialogue this exuberant chick-
with-a-dick-flick, for all of the darkness it depicts, is one of the year's most unexpectedly feel-good
films. Tag Line: Now. Whatever you saw or did. Is no longer my concern. But let's be clear. It won't
end well. I had seen the trailer and was not interested at all, but she wanted to go and I wanted to go
with her. The spaceship, Starship Avalon, in its 120-year voyage to a distant colony planet known as
the "Homestead Colony" and transporting 5,259 people has a malfunction in two of its sleep
chambers. As a result two hibernation pods open prematurely and the two people that awoke, Jim
Preston (Chris Pratt) and Aurora Dunn (Jennifer Lawrence), are stranded on the spaceship, still 90
years from their destination.
Not since Christopher Reeve's original 1978 Superman flick has the self-discovery of super-powered
destiny been this fun. As Wonder Woman leaves her cloistered women-only island of Amazons to
traverse the less salubrious world of men in World War I to stop the machinations of Ares, the evil
God of War, the overriding message right through this thrilling adventure is essentially one about
love, goodness, loyalty and duty. Instead of making the “big war story” as just another story about
the horrors of war, uber writer-director Christopher Nolan (Interstellar, Inception, The Dark
Knight trilogy) turns it into a gripping drama about the strengths of people. Men die and men survive
here. Amid the swirling tide of destiny facing the throngs of Allied soldiers on the beaches of
Dunkirk, France, awaiting mass evacuation to England from the Nazi forces encircling them in
World War II, Nolan's depiction here is less epic in scale but more epochal in the way men used to
be extraordinarily braver and finer in a bygone age. When a young boy is found dead on an idyllic
beach, a major police investigation gets underway in the small northern California seaside town
where the tragedy occurred. Soon deemed a homicide, the case turns neighbor against neighbor and
sparks a media frenzy, which throws the boys family into further turmoil and upends the lives of the
towns residents. Starring BAFTA winner David Tennant, Emmy Award winner Anna Gunn,
Academy Award Nominee Jacki Weaver, Academy Award Nominee Nick Nolte* and SAG Award
winner Michael Pena. Original Resolution: 640x324 So far, streaming continues to deliver the goods
straight to the people (barb & star go to vista del mar) while theaters begin to reopen in earnest,
ready to deliver the biggest hits of the summer (a quiet place part ii, in the heights). There's nothing

2021 (so far) you bet 'bo burnham: The 10 best movies of 2021, so far. I absolutely love this film. It's
about a guy who is reliving the same day over and over again and he can change things. Often, I
used to think that this happens to us filmmakers too between movies when you're trying to write and
nothing is happening. I feel like I'm living Groundhog Day – doing the same thing over and over
again. I remember my brother Shridhar (Raghavan), Anjum Rajabali and Vinay Shukla had some sort
of a film club. We used to meet at Anjum's house because he had a laser disk. Every Saturday we
would watch a movie, and this was one of them. I am a fan of the whole titanic story and watched
documentaries about the wreck, read multiple books about trying to conceal her. I am fascinated by
the topics and mysteries that surround her, about the analogy of men thinking they can contain
nature, about the many coincidences that lead to her hitting the iceberg. Away from the big
blockbusters and superhero flicks, here is a small strange film that gets powered by two like-minded,
existentially artistic and ardently indie forces. There is French director Olivier Assayas's (Clean,
Clouds of Sils Maria) elliptically minimalist way of portraying indecipherable human mystery. And
there is Kristen Stewart, wholly interesting and mysterious too in her currently stated mood of being
largely unknowable and elusive as a Hollywood glamour girl. Tag Line: The inside story of the
world’s greatest manhunt. "Big Game is what one would get by mixing The Most Dangerous
Game with a good 80s/90s action film. The film is an enjoyable blast and delightfully amusing, both
satirizing and paying homage to all the glorious elements of a classic popcorn flick while adding its
own unique characteristics for a fresh spin on the genre." The action film of the year, follows a bunch
of post-apocalyptic refugees who travel from A to B and then back again in the most exhilarating,
adrenaline-fuelled way possible. Charlize Theron plays Furiosa, and drives the film both figuratively
and literally, elbowing the male lead, loner Max (Tom Hardy) out from centre stage to leave him
skulking prettily on the sidelines. The heady speed of the chase, the steampunk-manned war-
vehicles, the relentless battle drumming and the constant thrills and suspense speed up your heart-
rate like you've washed back a concoction of red-bull and pro-plus and boarded a two-hour roller-
coaster ride. A pioneering, feminist action movie that, even after multiple viewings, never blows its
exhaust. I’m pretty sure I’ve said before that Henry Rollins (Sons of Anarchy, He Never Died,
Gutterdammerung) is a badass. He’s perfect for the role of the serial killer in this movie. Some bank
robbers have bitten off more than they can chew. This man can be seriously disturbing, even when he
smiles. I think the premise of this one is a good twist on the crime-action movie and I can’t wait to
see it. GET WELL KATE! Meghan & Harry, King Charles and Celebrities REACT to… Production

addressed aspects of returning home from war in a forthright manner. As you watch, always
remember that this was released a year after the war ended and emotions were raw and fresh. This is
the best movie about the toll of World War II on those who fought in it. It was made immediately
after the war and it addresses with courage some of the most important elements of the return home
at a time when soldiers, sailors, and marines were actually returning home. Writers: Ike Barinholtz,
David Stassen, Rawson Marshall Thurber What fascinates me, is how serious director George Miller
took this simple plot. A convoy of tanks that contains gasoline drives from one point in the desert to
another. Then they get robbed. I like it so much because this movie doesn´t want to be more than it
is. No pointed fingers, no romance, no hidden topics. You get only what you see. 1613x949 -
December 8 reason to be excited: 30. Portrait Of A Lady On Fire (2020) What that means, is that if I
remember a film for an extended period of time, it’s either because something truly resonated with
me, or I hated it so much that I wish I could forget it and can’t. Since I didn’t hate Bad Kids go to
Hell that means something resonated with me more than I realized at the time. When it comes to this
film, it's all about filmmaking, editing, and how to make a film suggestive. If you ask me, the best
form of violence is suggestive violence. When you show the audience what has happened exactly,
there is no room for their imagination. According to me, storytelling is 50% of what the narrator
wants to say and 50% of what the audience wants to take (away). It's not just the shower scene, but
everything in the movie, like the narration in the end where he looks into the camera. I think looking
into the camera is a very powerful tool. It's like saying, 'Okay, we are aware that you are also a part
of our journey. Tell us what happened.' In Psycho, Hitchcock has beautifully explained the power of
editing and how it can change a character in a matter of seconds. The best movies of 2021 so far on

I don't know why more people don't know about this film. Made by then-aspiring horror auteur, Ti
West, this film was surprisingly good. A first-person fictionalisation of the Jonestown massacre, this
film just works really, really, well. Find it. Not much to say here. The trailer speaks for itself really.
Unfortunately, the release on June 27 is only for NY. It will open for the rest of the US on July 4.
