Data officer responsibilities

• In liaison with the Monitoring and Evaluation Assistants, I ensured the Child Protection Information
System (CPIMS) is up to date and all OVC indicators are up to date.
• Conducting data quality spot checks in the center to ensure data collected is accurate, reliable, complete,
precise, timely, and of high integrity.
• Ensuring that forms collected are complete and supporting caseworkers at the center level to address issues
on the forms as they arise, ahead of verification
• Accurately entering data captured in the Case Management forms into the CPIMS database, and
promptly providing data and information in response to internal and external parties' requests.
• Providing statistics, information, and reports to show progress and trends, and in liaison with the
Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant, presenting a monthly analysis to the monitoring and Evaluation
Officer.
• Providing feedback to the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer on the case management process in the center
and build the capacity of social workers to complete forms accurately through one-on one and group
mentoring and review sessions
• Maintaining confidentiality and privacy in the management of case files and observing data protection
and confidentiality protocols while handling both the paper-based and electronic data at all stages of data
management. This includes and is not limited to the informed consent or use of data and privacy, but all
information sharing in the CPIMS/EMR.
• Identifying and highlighting cases suitable for documentation of significant change and impact (success
stories) ∙
• Guiding the facility medical staff on effective data management, especially on correct and
complete documentation

• Assisting in the compilation of ad-hoc or systematic data analysis, and share with the facility staff during
MDT meetings
