1.0 SYNOPSIS

This course helps to strengthen students' command in Mandarin Language. Students


are expected to have an excellent mastering of basic Mandarin where they are able
to apply in completing more complex tasks and can communicate or exchange
information on familiar and routine matters after completion of this course.

2.0 COURSE OBJECTIVES

On completion of this subject, students should be able to:


• communicate well with basic Mandarin,
• posses the ability to further their Mandarin language studies.

3.0 LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:


• distinguish basic Mandarin vocabulary and sentences,
• practice basic Mandarin on topics relating to familiar and routine matter,
• illustrate a cultural related topic.
