movie tape with sample pictures of sports. Tarpapel of an images
of sports and active and passive recreational activity.
Instructional Media: Slide Tech consist of Family Feud Games
related to sports and leisure activities.
4. Procedures
4.1 Introductory Activity Family Feud Activity

5 minutes Teams are randomly chosen. One player from each team approaches, ready
to buzz in. The question is read once and stops at the first buzz. If the answer
isn’t top-ranked, the other player guesses. The first to buzz with the top answer
decides to pass or play. If no correct guess, play passes to the next player. After
choosing pass or play, the playing team guesses the remaining answers one by
one within 10 seconds. Each incorrect guess earns a strike. At 3 strikes, the
opposing team can steal by providing a correct answer. If they do, they steal the
points; if not, the playing team keeps them
4.2 Activity Guessing Game Activity
In the Guessing Game activity, learners will be given strips of paper with
words written on them by the teacher. Within their groups, each member will
5 minutes take turns acting out the word they pick from the strip in just 10 seconds. If time
runs out for one person, the next one goes. The rest of the group will then try to
guess the word being acted out. If they guess correctly, the group earns 5
points.

4.3 Analysis 1. What are the answers in the Family Feud game?
2. What words in activity is familiar to you?
3. Why do you think those sports can be played in indoor and outdoor
5 minutes environment?
4.4 Abstraction Physical Activity and Active Recreation

20 minutes Physical Activity

➢ imply means movement of the body that uses energy.
➢ refers to bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy
expenditure and produces progressive health benefits.
➢ typically requires only low to moderate intensity effort.

Recreation
➢ activity done for enjoyment when one is not working.
➢ was regarded as activities you do during leisure.
Leisure is an unobligated time wherein you are free from any pressing concern in
studies and/or work.

Recreation may be classified into two;

• Active
• Passive

Passive recreational activities -are those which you spend your leisure without
exerting much of your physical “prowess”( skill or expertise in a particular activity or
field.)

Active recreational activities - are those that require deliberate physical efforts
which may range from light to vigorous intensities.
Adults between ages 18 to 64, older adults of ages 65 and beyond, pregnant women
and those who just gave birth, and children 6 years of age and older, and
adolescents like you differ in physical activity prescriptions.

Children and adolescents should do one hour (60 minutes) or more of physical
activity everyday. The one hour or more a day should be either moderate- or
vigorous- intensity aerobic physical activity.

Developing the habit of engaging in physical activities which may come in the form
of active recreation will eventually reduce risk of hypokenetic diseases.
The term “hypo” means low or little and “kenetic” implies motion.

These hypokenetic diseases include hypertension, heart diseases, chronic low back
pain, and obesity.

Guide Questions:
1. What is the fundamental difference between physical activity and recreation?
2. How are passive and active recreational activities distinguished from each other?
3. What are the recommended daily physical activity guidelines for children and
adolescents?
4. How do physical activity prescriptions vary among different age groups and
specific populations?
5. How can engaging in active recreational activities help mitigate the risk of
hypokenetic diseases?
Role Play Activity

Direction: Within the same group, the learners will select a representative from
each group to spin the wheel, revealing the recreational activity they will
