I know that you are having the first summer camp. Please tell me
something about it. Who are you staying with? Which activities are you
taking part in? How do you feel about it?
Write a letter to answer your friend’s question.
Answer:
1. Informal letter
Dear Peanut,
It is been a long time since last we met each other. I am sorry for not
writing to you earlier because I have had some trouble with my exams at
my university.as I have struggled with my college midterm exams. How
have you and your family been? Please send my best wishes to your
family.
The My first summer camp was one of the most great trip which I have
ever had experienced. Last summer, my class organized a journey to Ba
Vi National Park which is an incredible place and we spent 2 days
camping as well as discovering there for all students in our class. On the
first day, I learned and practiced to pitch a tent together. Then, we
gathered to have a barbecue instead of lunch. At night, we were free so
my team played some board games such as Werewolf, Maria, impostor,
…On the next day, I joined in communal activities, including decorating
a tent for the group’s competition, performing arts, … Each person had a
private set for the meal. In the afternoon, we cleaned up the group’s tent
site and arranged individual things to prepare to come back to our
university.
Although the summer camp lasts nearly 2 days, It’s a great experience for
me. I really spent my time clearing all my troubles out of my mind. It
leads to decrease in my stress levels after hard days. As I mentioned, It’s
not only the first camp but also the best trip I had ever. I hope we can take
a similar camp on the upcoming holiday, I researched Da Lat several days
ago and I think it can be the best destination for our trip.
Apologies but I need to get back to my study now. I’m looking forward to
hearing from you soon. Drop me a line as you can, please.
Best wishes,
Kw.

I won the second prize in a competition at my school, so I decide to travel
to your country for 2 weeks. I am wondering what the weather is like in
your country, where I should go to visit and some interesting activities I
can take part in there. Can you give me some information?
Answer:
1. Informal letter
Dear Chovy,
Apologies for not writing for so long, but I have had several troubles in
my studies. How have you and your family been? I am so delighted to
welcome you to my country as well as hope you will win the award in
your competition. I am writing to give you some information about the
matters you asked.
As for the weather, because it is autumn currently, the weather is nice and
quite cool in my country. When you come here, you will soon enjoy the
clear blue sky with bright sunshine. In the evening, the weather will
become colder which makes everything around you more fresh and
peaceful. Occasionally, some moderate showers appear, so you need to
take care of your health by preparing an umbrella for this suitcase.
Apologies but I need to get back to my study now. I hope this information
is helpful to you. If you have any problem, do not hesitate to contact me.
All the best,
Kw.

This is part of a letter you received from the manager of your university
library (Mr. Jones)
Our university is considering upgrading the library. Before we do that,
we would like to receive your feedback on our services. Are you satisfied
with our service? Is there anything you want to change?
Write an email to the manager to give your feedback on the library
service. You do not need to include your name or addresses.
In general, I want to let you know that I am quite satisfied with your
services. First and foremost, all librarians are friendly and hospitable,
they are always ready to help me whenever I am struggling with finding
information. Another good point is the convenience of equipped furniture
such as air conditioners, comfortable seats and so on. Finally, your
materials are organized and arranged in a way that makes it easy for
readers to find the right book.
As for your upgrading, I have a suggestion for your library that should
build some private rooms with an LED monitor for document films. This
is because of the fact that several materials are kinds of old CDs and it
leads to difficulty in using. Therefore, a private room is the best measure
to solve this issue.
Yours sincerely,
Kw.
