VASTU FOR MAIN DOOR
Entrance door of the house

The entrance door should be considered seriously while applying Vastu in

the house. The size of the entrance door should always be larger than the
other doors in the house.

Number of Entrances

Many houses are seemed to have more than one entrance in the front of the
house. Some rules have to be considered while constructing such doors. If
there is only one entrance in the house it brings in more wealth as compared
to the house with more entrances. If the house has two entrances than
happiness is guaranteed with all sort of comfort. If there are three doors it may
prove to be harmful and more than three doors bring in a lot of problems.

PLACEMENT OF MAIN ENTRANCE DOOR

One door: If there is only one entrance to the house it should be to the east
of north of the house to assure best results. Doors to west and south are not
considered good for residential purposes but may be fruitful in case of
commercial establishment.

Two Doors: If the house has two doors then following combination can be used
for best results:
-East in coordination with North and West
-West in coordination with North and East
-South and west door should be avoided
-South and East doors should also be avoided

Three Doors: Following guidelines should be considered while having three

entrances in the house.
-Three doors with none to East are not considered good.
 -Three doors with none to south are considered
good. - Three doors with none to north are
inauspicious -Three doors with none to west are
auspicious.

Four Doors: If the house is aligned to magnetic orientation than having four
doors in all the direction is considered good and fruitful.

Inner Door: Height of doors should be minimum 7'feet with the width as
3'feet 6'inches minimum.

Number of Doors: The number of doors in the house should be even in

number but ten doors or multiples of eight should be avoided. There are rules
to count ten doors in the house. The main door and door for the outhouse
should not be considered and two flanged doors are to be considered as one.
Entrance may be without doors but if there is covering overhead to create an
enclosed passage then they are considered as doors. Doors to the partition
and not touching the ceiling in the house are not considered as doors. Table

Door Designing
Vastu consider carvings and decoration on the main entrance and other doors
of the house but there are certain rules to be followed:

-Goddess Lakshmi seated on Lotus with elephant is considered good to

be used on doors.
 -Tradition guard drawing can be made.
-God of wealth with coins being emitted can be used for decoration.
-The family deity or Kul Devta can stand on the door.
-Images of birds like parrot, swan, and peacock are great designs on the
door.
-Natural painting can be used.
-Pictures depicting wars etc are not allowed.

It should be remembered picture of any God on the outside of the door should
be strictly avoided as it may bring problems like poverty.

Tips for main entrance doors

Main door is entrance to the happiness in your life. Main door should always
be at the highest priority.

There are aspects that are needed to be kept in mind while constructing
main door or window to the house. Person enters the premises through
main door so there should be positive energy being emitted all the time. The
positive energy in the house enters through the main door. The position of
the door should be in the way it creates a way for positive energies. These
are few of

the tips that one may consider while constructing the main door.
Choose an auspicious day: The main door can be installed on an auspicious
day after performing Vastu pooja. The position of main door is very
important

so the direction of the door should be studied before installation. You may
try to stand in front of the house and imaginarily divide the house in two
parts and decide for the door to be placed in centre left or right.

Position of the door as per directions

North
Door should be to the left when facing the house. Avoid having the door to
North West. By placing the door to left, emit a lot of sunlight into the house.
The door should be at the centre of the wall and avoid having it at the corner.

West
The door can be to the left half of the house. The door should not be to the
right half as windows are positioned to be here to allow sunlight throughout
the day. There shouldn't be any openings to the south west direction. If there
is door to the west, try to have door to the east as well to allow maximum
flow of useful UV rays in the house.

South
The door to the south should not be at the centre of the building and
should be placed to the right half of the house. Do not have door to the
south west direction as it may bring in infrared rays.

East
The door should be to the right half facing north east directions. Avoid having
the house to south east direction. The door should be to the centre of the
wall and windows should be placed to the north-east directions.

Avoid having main door facing the opposite home

Always remember that the main door should not be facing the opposite
home

as it would become uncomfortable as both the doors are open and can result
in a peek of both the home.
Do not have the main door placing a deserted or abandoned building

Do not have the main door facing the rundown building as that can bring in
negative vibes and you will have cold sight every time you open the door.

Try to have entrance gate and entrance door on same side

Manage to have the entrance gate and entrance door on the same side
because Vastu do not consider it correct to have both the doors in
opposite directions. It can be inconvenient to the guest as well.

Avoid having underground tank, septic tank under the entrance door

As tank need to be opened and cleaned many a times and doing it in front of
the entrance door can become inconvenient.

Do not have entrance door to the corner of the home

Having the door to the corner of the home as it may become difficult to place
furniture in the home. Corner should be vacant for movements.

Never have wall in front of entrance door

Avoid having door in front of entrance door and prefer to have the door
opening into another room. This will allow ventilation into the house.

Have both entrance and exit

According to Vastu the house should consist of both entrance and exit door.
The exit door should be smaller than the entrance that allows fresh air into
the house.

Tips:

-Main entrance door should be largest in the house

-The main door should open inside the house in clockwise direction.
 -Avoid having self-closing doors

-The main door must be threshold.

-Avoid having creaking door.

VASTU FOR WINDOWS

Windows are best while placed opposite to the door as they complete a
positive cycle. This brings in happiness in the family. If the doors are wrongly
placed then door should not be to the opposite of the door as it may bring
in unhappiness. Ventilators are important part of the windows which are
useful in toilets, bathrooms and godowns.

The windows are mostly transparent or translucent and open to the doors or
walls to ensure light, air and sound in the house. Windows are mostly gazed
in some translucent material like float glass. Windows are opened to allow
ventilat-ion and closed to exclude weather.

Windows to the north wall towards Northeast should be lengthy and wide.
This ensures air from northeast coming to north flows into the house. This
air will develop energy and other related power. The windows to the East
towards north east should also be lengthy and wide. To allow air from north
east towards east will flow in the house. Air, sunlight and light bring in
positive energy into the house.

Windows should not be to the south west direction as it may be harmful

for the residents. As Vastu is science it has described properly that
windows should be positive in number and odd number should be
avoided.
